Kairos Children's Fund Small Business Grants
« on: July 30, 2021, 12:55:33 AM »
First of all, thanks Biblepay for sponsoring 12 kids to go to school and get a good education. BBP has been helping our kids for 4 years now.
We are raising money for small business grants so that the parents of these kids will be able to start a small business. They are required to give us a business proposal worth $25 each. This is actually enough money to start a small business.
So far the proposals are:
Buying motorcycle tire interiors - $25
   Capital to start a home-based cupcake business  - $25
   Peanutbutter making  - $25
   Small store  - $25
   E-load business (cellphone)  - $25
   Puto business (a native breakfast)  - $25
Flower business (purchase of flowers)  - $25
We are trying to raise $500 for this project, but less than that amount will be a great help also.

Hello Andrew.

Sounds like a great project, helping folks getting self sustained.

Do you have a biblepay adress we could donate to or some other crypto adress perhaps.

And Andy, one other way we can manage this is putting in a governance proposal for part of this.
We have about 2.5MM available in the August budget, so this is not all for Charity but I think half of this might be a good number to potentially be approved as a proposal.

If you want to enter one for the amount you think might be voted in and use this thread as the proposal, you can go into "Proposal Add" from the wallet, and add a proposal pointing to this thread.

Thanks.

And like Earlz said, you can also provide donation address and ask for donations up to the amount you are seeking that the budget doesnt cover.

My Biblepay address is BGPqae3ip1f6QuYnsYqp3vx9CZ27dgUkGa. Donations would be appreciated, and if you want to sponsor a child you can check out https://kairoschildrens.fund/campaign-2021-22

This project is part of our children's fund, so we are giving to the families. Mostly it will be mothers who will run and manage the businesses. As I said we have 7 proposals (at the moment, but we expect more) and a minimum of $25 will be given per proposal, although it might be more if we can raise more.

I just created a proposal for 1M, and this would give small business grants to about 6 people. We would still need to raise money for the others though.

I was not able to create the proposal because I lack 2,000 bitcoin. I someone would be able to give me, or I can borrow, that would be great. My wallet address is B9167vqdrGzdBr5oWEHiQqfn33K1aFLWed

Just to update everyone, we now have 13 business proposals:
Those who will be awarded money for their proposal will be asked to repay within 6 months at 1% interest, BUT the money repaid will go to another proposal. So if we don't get enough money for all families, then we will simply give it next time.
I am basing this a little bit on Grameen mico-loans, which go mostly to women for small projects. Women tend to be harder working and better repayers.

Thanks everyone!

Thanks Earlz for funding this Fee.

I voted Yes for the proposals; hopefully you won't receive any no votes!

I don't want to make another proposal right now, maybe next month again. But if you want to support the small business proposal program, you can donate here:
