wallet 1.5.1.4 hi cpu usage

wallet 1.5.1.4 is eating a lot of cpu power 30% on a 16 thread cpu. Is this normal?

It might solo mining with the defaults.


If you do not want to solo mine, you can put the following in your biblepay.conf



gen=0


Go to Tools, Open Wallet Configuration File

I don't know why post showed it in small text, but the biblepay.conf entry should be:


gen=0

yah, i see. I have gen=1
Now it doesnt make sense to have gen=1 in biblepay.conf since its mining xmr?  I wasnt here for a while and I am a bit 

gen=1 is only if you want to solo mine. But since BiblePay is hashing RandomX (same as Monero XMR), there are external miners such as xmrig that will do the job far more efficiently. So, while you can technically use the wallet miner, it is not recommended since the external miner is faster.
