Wrong address after update
« on: March 22, 2018, 07:47:31 am »
Hi everyone,

a few days ago i found, that my Windows wallet stopped to send PODC Updates, but continued to do all job.
1) My TaskWeight & UTXOWeight were by zero.
2) I used podcupdate command and now i have this as result:

Code: [Select]
{
  "Command": "getboincinfo",
  "CPID": "c76a38b624ce8efa066f969cb8866c52",
  "Address": "BDpUTUvc3NTMSb9SQKePt1TcGzjHgnZtEC",
  "CPIDS": "c76a38b624ce8efa066f969cb8866c52;",
  "CPID-Age (hours)": 422701,
  "NextSuperblockHeight": 36080,
  "NextSuperblockBudget": 1197260,
  "c76a38b624ce8efa066f969cb8866c52_ADDRESS": "BDpUTUvc3NTMSb9SQKePt1TcGzjHgnZtEC",
  "c76a38b624ce8efa066f969cb8866c52_RAC": 2616.81,
  "c76a38b624ce8efa066f969cb8866c52_TEAM": 15044,
  "c76a38b624ce8efa066f969cb8866c52_TaskWeight": 100,
  "c76a38b624ce8efa066f969cb8866c52_UTXOWeight": 28000,
  "Total_RAC": 2616.81,
  "Total Payments (One Day)": 0,
  "Total Payments (One Week)": 3416,
  "Total Budget (One Day)": 1197260,
  "Total Budget (One Week)": 10110198,
  "Superblock Count (One Week)": 7,
  "Superblock Hit Count (One Week)": 7,
  "Superblock List": "35875,35670,35465,35260,35055,34850,34645",
  "Last Superblock Height": 35875,
  "Last Superblock Budget": 1197260,
  "Last Superblock Payment": 0,
  "Magnitude (One-Day)": 0,
  "Magnitude (One-Week)": 0.3378766667082089
}

Everything seems to be ok, but

BDpUTUvc3NTMSb9SQKePt1TcGzjHgnZtEC  is not my address. I have 3 receiving addresses, but this address is not there.

I tried to delete all my files, made clean installation of the wallet. But i still see this address.
Did i do something wrong?  Or is it ok?

Thanks

Try sending 0,1 BBP to that address (or something else if you want to). If it says that it's a 'payment to yourself', than it is your own address, it's just not in the 'receiving addresses' list.

You can see here that your stakeamount was sent to that address:
http://explorer.biblepay.org:3001/address/BDpUTUvc3NTMSb9SQKePt1TcGzjHgnZtEC

So, I think it's your own address.

Did you do anything as to why it stopped sending updates? Was your wallet online at all times?

jaapgvk, thank you so much for your reply!

I did it and got message "Payment to yourself now". It is really weird, because i don't know this address.

I have downloaded and installed a new wallet version, before this address changed.
My wallet was sometimes online, sometimes offline.

You're welcome  :)

The thing is: PoDC will choose the address for you. The wallet generated a lot of keys when you first start it (I think it's a 1000), and will use these keys for - among other things - change-addresses. There are not in your 'receiving addresses' list, but you can still see which addresses belong to you if you enable 'coin control' in 'settings > options > wallet' in your wallet. If you then go to the 'send' tab, you can select 'inputs'. There you can see all addresses that belong to you on which you receives BBP.

You wallet needs to be online, if not, it won't be able to send PODC-updates. If your wallet can't send an at least every 24 hours, you will not be included in the next superblock. So my advice would be to keep your wallet online at all times.
