Good job Rob on the History Block search change in foundation pool. Saw that before it just showed everyone's earnings but it was a lot of records. Now that you have filter to search on a few letters of our BBP address, it works better IMO.

i had some problems myself since i had never heard of 2fa never before.
i downloaded a random 2fa application in google store through my cell phone, scanned the barcode that shows on the page of sanctuaries , and put the randomly 6-digit generated number into the appropriate box (on the very same page).

2FA is a useful feature for security, but sometimes it can be confusing for people. Glad you figured it out.

These instructions worked great to build your own.

Worked okay in Ubuntu 16. https://xmrig.com/docs/miner/ubuntu-build

Preparation

Install dependencies:

sudo apt-get install git build-essential cmake libuv1-dev libssl-dev libhwloc-dev

Clone source code from github:

git clone https://github.com/biblepay/xmrig

To update exist (already cloned) source, goto to the build directory and run git pull.

Create build directory:

mkdir xmrig/build

Basic build good for local machine, because it easy, but if you need run miner on other machines please take look to advanced build.

cd xmrig/build
cmake ..
make -j$(nproc)

20
if there is perhaps instructions on how to build for ubuntu 16, I can give them a try?

re: xmrig - That is brilliant move if you can pull it off!

The fractional sanctuary is working great. I saw the percentages change a little from 38% to 35% so I'm glad people are finding the service useful. I sure do!

Good idea. Third party service wants a lot upfront with high pressure to be included. StakingLabs.io went out of business, so its hard to say what kind of ROI you'll get with these third party services.

Tried to run this in Ubuntu 16 LTS:
https://github.com/biblepay/xmrig/raw/master/binaries/xmrig-bbp-linux64

I got this error:
./xmrig-bbp-linux64: error while loading shared libraries: libhwloc.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Tried this: https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig/issues/1159

Might I need to compile xmrig myself?

Mining / Re: Solo mining problems
« on: April 26, 2020, 05:46:14 PM »
It actually did, being more comprehensive. Thx a a lot

solo mining is not very efficient according to Rob and you miss out on the xmr hashing but utilizing the pool instead.

***  Plan to Decentralize BiblePay into a fully decentralized autonomous charity  (DAC)  ***

https://wiki.biblepay.org/Continuity_Plan

Please read and if you have any concerns or proposed changes or if you feel this does not cover one of our processes please let us know.

Continuity plan is well thought out. I was concerned about the POOM to RandomX migration, but your generosity takes care of that until the end of the calendar year. Hopefully, by then, RandomX earnings will be able to support the orphans.

Everything looks fine. I suggest mining for 24 hours and looking at the grand total shares solved by the machine for bbp and xmr.

Yeah, I think the issue is on my end. I think I may need to restart my computer then only run the miner. When I tried yesterday with just 1 thread, the SSD was paging to the disk constantly and that's not the right setup I think. I appreciate you checking.

Nice job on the new build. Would you consider giving us lower difficulty sooner? My i5 can't seem to handle 50k difficulty and takes 5-10 minutes before going down to 10k which seems more manageable. I don't know how difficulty works exactly with RandomX but that's been my experience on my lowly computer.

** BBP-Xmrig 5.10.1 - Mandatory Upgrade for Miners **

- Remove automatic tithing from the miner

* Note:  The old version of the miner tithes 10%.  Please start using the new version, as the pool now holds back the 10% orphan-tithe automatically.

** Mac is still building, MIP will notify

Sanctuary Discussions / Re: Fractional sanctuary (shared masternode)

Hi, I tried the fractional sanctuary with 10,000 BBP and I earn 9.80 BBP per day for 8 days. It works very well.
I intend to invest in this 100k, 200k, then 1M, 2M ...
Automatic reinvestment is a good idea but at the investor's choice, with a check box for example.

If you write a review about frac sanc, I have a bounty for 2500 BBP set up for writing up a small review. Please DM me, say this is for frac sanc bounty, proof you receive sanctuary reward for several days (screenshot of earnings but amount can be hidden/excluded), and your BBP address.
