All of the pools have been having this issue for about a week now, at least from what I have seen.  I know this was just for the Hanalani pool at first but to have unchained AND miningpool.fun down as well for extended periods does not bode well for community confidence.  Add to that, Hanalani is now a "private" pool doesn't look good for decentralization either. 

Are these problems related to the new fork happening in the next month?  Why wasn't there a post mentioning a date that the pools would be retired? Are we not allowed to mine until the fork? It could be because of the XMR pool bans but there has been no other communication about this.  Lots of questions.

Thanks.  Do you know what CPU/RAM is needed to mine?

Any CPU that can mine Monero with Xmrig is what you can use.  Basically anything.  Like i said, go to the pools and they have documents on how to mine.  Don't have much time until the fork though in June.

The mining will be changing in may.  It is currently using xmr dual mining, instructions can be found on any of the BBP pools.  Pretty simple using xmrig.  But that will be going away by the end of May, I believe.  Not sure about staking using the wallet as I haven't heard of that.

Well now it is telling me that my ip address has been banned.

Error: IP address currently banned, please check your miner, code: -1

This is the message i get on all 4 of my rigs.  Unchained is working fine for me otherwise, guess i'll use that for now.

Mining / Hanalani Pool Connection issues

I have been getting some errors when using the Hanalani pool.  I still get accepted shares but the error occurs pretty frequently but i don't know if it is affecting anything. 

The errors are:
-read error "connection reset by peer"-
-no active pools, stop mining-

So it is a little strange.  Is it just me or is there something else going on?

I tried to email him myself without answer. I know he was very busy lately, so I don't know how much it will take him to read emails or these comments in the forum.

I wonder if it could be an email account issue.  I have seen it where the email service sees some addresses as spam/scam, or whatever, and is undeliverable to that address.  I would recommend the user to try a different email address to see if it can get through with that one.

Your first few posts need approved (due to spam attacks on the internet, just like bitcointalk etc).
Links dont work?  We would need an example and please be specific because we have multiple systems.  Ive been fixing any bad links that I know of.
To buy BBP, you can buy it on SouthXChange.

I was perusing the biblepay.org site and there are a lot of dead links.  Easy example is the Tokok link in the "get coins" -> "Exchange" section.  There are several other instances of information not having been updated for a while.  The white paper, for example, still shows PODC and PoBH mining and is from 2018.  So, it seems to me that the main website will need some updating soon.

Rob,
You mentioned that this video service will be user friendly and be able to help BBP become more popular.  How is the user supposed to upload videos and pay for the service in an easy to understand manner?  Maybe theres a wiki on this and I just missed it.  Is there a GUI or website that a person can go to and easily upload the videos and then be able to link to that video on thier own website?  Are there plans to also host data other than videos?

Thanks!  I have been mining for a couple years now and am excited about the work you guys do on this crypto.  I'm just wondering if this service would be user friendly to get more attention from people who aren't invested in this project.
