I will need to buy a Roku, but was curious how payment is working. It is paid via XMR? Or is it XMR and BBP? I noticed on the foundation site, the address I had for XMR is also for XMR & Roku now.

** APM (Automatic Price Mooning) is being temporarily disabled to bring in more RandomX miners **

Thanks for your consideration. I know there were many RandomX miners on discord that were taken aback by APM and showed a lot of negative sentiment at the time. I know Radar_Dude7 has been a champion of mining and he's been a light in the BBP mining community for sure.

Hello Rob -- I'll have to clarify with the community member that said his stake requirement went up when they changed to a different team.

Hi Sun,

We already took out the team requirement in one of the last PODC updates, but we do require the coins to be staked and them to have more than 250 rac.

There are a few members of other teams in our cpid list.

On the publisher/content creator side, is there a plan for compensation to encourage uploading of video content? maybe there's a slider where they can put 10% to 100% of their earnings toward orphan sponsorship? if there's a way to partner with a major ad network, then that's an additional source of funds to sponsor orphans or pay miners on top of BBP. Not sure how popular Christian/religious ads are though...

I heard that the latest release from GridCoin (GRC) no longer has a team requirement. Does it make sense for BiblePay to remove the team requirement (e.g. BBP stake requirement is ^1.3 for all) as well? It would at least keep up in parity with other altcoins that pay for distributed computing work...

This removes the team requirement at last (see below), although there are many other important improvements besides that.

Togo said the server is offline due to an incompatibility with a newer version of Iquudus Explorer he tried to install. He'd have to rollback to an old version of Iquudus which may or may not be compatible with the current BiblePay version. If someone else wants to take over the maintenance of a second explorer, he's open to the idea.

For now, redirecting the explorer to chainz is a good option IMO as they've been responsive and the monthly cost is much lower than $40/mo.

http://explorer.biblepay.org
is down for long time.

Can we redirect it to the second explorer ?

Hi Rob - intriguing ideas! How did you land on using Roku vs say ChromeCast, FireStick, etc?

68
Hi Rob. So I checked this with my wallet and I'm not sure the list above is correct. I am address "BM2e..." and although I apparently did not receive the DWS payment in the block listed above, I in fact DID receive it the following day (block 201125, TxID 03806879905734fabba33dafd2f6523fc10f41f7173393fe3914f6094a3f1f25). So now I have received these coins twice.
I don't want to keep them, so I could:
1. send them back to you
2. donate them to the foundation
3. send them to a burner address (do we have one in BBP?)

What would be your preferred method?

On another note: I finally uploaded the German version of the whitepaper (in the other thread). ;)

This is a tough one because some people did dws for 100 or 200 BBP at a time with many burns in a single block. So, it was hard to see which reward block the dws burn should appear in.

There are 4 for BLEN in 229210 in that report.

Perfect Rob, thank you. I noticed some of the payments were 101% of the missing reward amount rounded up to the nearest whole BBP and/or given slightly more than expected. Everything seems to be in order compared to the dwsquote report.

Thanks Rob. That's a great tool. Would you mind looking at block 229210 again? According to dwsquote 2 1, address BLENxxx should 4 payments for that block.

I was very shocked, and distressed, to learn that both of the upcoming coronavirus vaccines are mRNA vaccines:

https://www.modernatx.com/mrna-technology/mrna-platform-enabling-drug-discovery-development

Yes, the new mRNA drugs work off of an 'operating system' that runs 'code' that carries out the building of the custom proteins used to fight the future viruses.

Of course this immediately brings up the question, what if an entity can 'upgrade' your mRNA code automatically?  Or maybe the coronavirus vaccine will not yield an immunity response for longer than 6 months requiring constant 'upgrades'.

The world has gone quite upside down since Oct 2020.

I don't know if they can upgrade the code automatically, but virus and bacteria have been doing this for tens of thousands of years. Mutations is the poor man's automatic upgrade. The ability for humans to be able to do this has its dangerous. Are you suggesting some nefarious intent behind releasing a vaccine then upgrading it later by the same party or a third-party to ill or deadly effects? I don't think it is likely and not a reason not to receive a vaccine. I have other reservations like beta quality vaccines and not to be the first in line...

By the way, can politics be discussed in this forum?

I haven't looked recently (been busy with moving to a new place). It was just an tease/joke not for any specific action to be taken.

This is great to see the DAC idea is becoming more concrete. Overall, I think this is a great idea and anything to automate the process into an automate process is really a beautiful solution. As a product, you could really benefit the charity, non-profit industry, and show what transparency is about. Too often, we just don't know where the money goes and it just seems like a giant black hole.  It would be easy to advertise especially unique URLs that goes to a specific child on the web site. Also, a CSV or JSON export of data will make nice reports and charts easier.

A few specific questions (not to detract from the overall idea -- just curious):

> - When a charity BBP address changes, the sancs would vote to delete a charity then add a charity (this would edit the record).

What happens to existing children recorded against the previous charity? Or are children and charity not related in that way?

> - Add an engine that is smart enough to allocate funds to a charity based on percentages of costs per sponsored orphan.

How will the accounting work if every child is a sub percentage of 100%? I wonder if it'll create accounting difficulty as opposed to fully funding each child and then the last child would receive what is remaining. Don't charities often have gap insurance to cover any dropped children?

So far, here is one plan to decentralize biblepays foundation (and provide transparency for decentralized orphan sponsorships):

- Modify governance to allow a vote to Add or Delete an orphan.  An orphan would consist of 'Orphanid, Charity, Name, URL, Amount, Date Added, (and possibly gender and age but some orphanages frown on providing the gender and age - due to child trafficking regs).  When the vote succeeds we will actually store the orphan in the chain.

- Modify governance to allow adding or deleting a charity.  A charity is the Charity Name and the BBP Send to Address.

- Add an engine that is smart enough to allocate funds to a charity based on percentages of costs per sponsored orphan.

- Add a decentralized relay to bbp for the charity.  This means that BBP would automatically pay the stored charity the funds received for the month.  It would do this because we would make the global giving address a burn address, and the monthly governance payout a payment contract.  This would mean no human would actually be involved in the collection or dispursement to the charity!

- When a charity BBP address changes, the sancs would vote to delete a charity then add a charity (this would edit the record).

- Add a feature to list the children to the RPC, so that people will be encouraged to sponsor children who are waiting.

- The system would be smart enough to handle excess children (for example our SAI children are being paid for right now monthly -- but are not yet sponsored by a user).

- We would have a separate donation address for 'whale matches'.  The system would be smart enough to tally and allocate whale matches also, to reduce the price of sponsorships.

This would theoretically make us into a true DAC also.

Does this feature sound like something that would propel us to the forefront, and make us more trustworthy for Binance charity and Coinbase to donate to us?

We will definitely cover the scenarios where someone donates a LOT, or a Little:

So far the baby plan for 'A lot' is this:
- Donald Trump donates 50MM BBP for no reason to the actual orphan donation address (not the whale match address).  What would happen is due to the engine rules, is each registered charity would receive their excess payment based on the percentages and we would notify Cameroon for example, to add children (we can do this up front).  We can tell orphanages if you receive too much, add children for us.  Then that month we would add children to the portfolio using the governance system.

- Too little:
Over time we would vote to reduce our portfolio.  In the interim, our orphanages would receive less than enough to cover the monthly expenses.

AUDITING:

We could offer a quarterly bounty to audit the orphan collage.  I would like to see a PDF report for our investors that summarizes the portfolio once per quarter.  I dont mind paying 2-3 MM for this in the beginning, until we can afford to pay for it out of the governance budget again.  I think this would be a nice report to post occasionally!  Even bi-annually would be sufficient, I think to earn trust. Would anyone like to take on the first one for 2020?  Ill add a bounty for 4MM for the first one.

EXAMPLE USAGE:

Once the system is in prod, it would be advertised like this:

Give to BIBLEPAY today, and automatically sponsor an orphan:

Send 100,000 BBP to NNNNNNN and sponsor an orphan for 30 days!
Send 1MM to NNNNN and sponsor an orphan for a year!

Send 1MM to ZZZZZZ and become a matching whale, which lowers the cost of orphan sponsorships for everyone else!

Your donation will be show in our RPC report, and its impact as a percentage of our monthly sponsorships!

See our orphan collage here:
(This report would pull dynamically from BBP data, then construct its collage.  The other reports can pull from BBP core also).  This would make them all dynamic.

FAQ:

Q:  What makes a DAC any better than plain vanilla governance?
A:  With a DAC, we don't need to manually liquidate the monthly donations (leaving a point of failure between BBP operations and the trusted individual who collects the funds).  Even with a multi-sig scenario we would have a bottleneck with 2-3 individuals appointed to the post.  Also, in the scenario where we had Compassion and BLOOM, we had to manually allocate the USD and forward these liquidations over to two more people.  I believe with an automated DAC, trust will increase because we will place the impetus of processing the payment directly on the third party charity.  If a charity fails, it will be a public spectacle and BBP will sadly need to delete that charity and vote in a new charity.  It would also give us more transparency, as the children would be in the chain, then we could write more detailed reports.  No one will forget to run the monthly individual processes and pieces required to run a charity or enter the accounting records into multiple systems.

Trasgender category does not exist actually. It is a marxist (satanic) invention.

We used to call it transsexual several decades ago, but the extreme left changed the wording to transgender. No matter how much people want to state that it is biological, it is still a social construct. Biologically, there is male and female. In very rare circumstances, intersex or hermaphrodites do exist, but let's not buy into this extremely rare circumstances as somehow typical.

Its an interesting question and no one really knows the true answer (unless you pray and get a dream or something), but imho, I think after he came out of the deep sleep, I think his rib was missing, but, since God took it, most likely the flesh was perfectly healed or had a regular scar that would heal, and, since this was before the fall of man, most likely God set it up to regenerate later.

So my answer is he either died with all his ribs (if God set it up to regenerate or if he complained about pain when he was doing gardening), or, maybe he did die with a missing rib.

But I do believe in a literal bible with very few allegories personally.

Either way, I think all men thereafter if born in perfect health, would have had 24 ribs since we are not privvy like Adam to God's intervention.
