Zthomasz, Tom, has spearheaded the initiative to get us listed on a new exchange, possibly Yobit, SouthXchange, or NEXT, or one of the top 50 bitcoin exchanges.
Yobit has a policy where they will list a new coin for .10BTC within 7 days - but we have since discovered they are NOT honoring this agreement.
Tom has started a campaign that accepts USD funds for a new exchange here:
New Exchange Fee Fund Link:
https://activara.net/yobit/
Please post here if you would like to donate in BBP, post the amount so we can keep track of how much we raised.
-
I donated 50.000 BBP to an address Tom gave me :)
http://explorer.biblepay.org:3001/address/B7JeVTg37VQXPmur3ckzx75JvutT4QxR4F
-
We currently have 283K BBP in the fund to be used for a listing fee. Since beginning the search for another exchange for BBP we have learned that Yobit may not be honoring their listing agreement. They mays even holding fees paid for listings yet not listing the coins.
I suggest that Rob generalize this proposal to include the option of applying BBP or cash in the Listing Fee Fund to whatever exchange meets his criteria for whichever exchange meet his criteria for "the best" on our list of exchange candidates (which includes Yobit, southXchange and NEXT.EXCHANGE.)

Sorry for the Delay, I updated this proposal to be general.
Please let me know if the Activara link has changed.

The link for refundable donations is still live.

Since having BBP trading on several exchanges is powerful type of PR and a major benefit to our loyal project supporters, we should probably consider extending the"Exchange Listing Fee Fund" so we can use it to bring more exchanges on board during the upcoming months. It might be wise to fund it and make it semi-permanent via a proposal.

CCEX is STILL not accepting new accounts. So as it stands now, the only marketplace where this is trade-able is not accessible for new users. As we all know, the value of any cryptocurrency rises with it's volume. I have told many people at my workplace (I am an IT instructor) about this coin as an example of a currency that actually does something outside of the digital 1's and 0's world and they are excited about it, but most have no idea how to even buy BTC off Coinbase let alone register on an exchange that can't even be bothered to upgrade their infrastructure to allow new users. We paid 7 grand worth of orphanage fees the last two months in a row with the coin being worth less than a penny. Imagine how many humans we could help if it was worth 5 cents. Or a dollar. Or 5. We could put a serious dent in human suffering worldwide by doing what we do mining and spreading the good news. This needs to be a priority to get listed on more exchanges, or even at least 1 where new people can still create accounts.

Thanks Apocalypse , I like your Avatar also! See guys this is a real world example of how users cant even buy BBP currently.
Ill paste this in CCEX's skype channel, but I know what hes going to say. He cant hire anyone to help because he cant trust them. And he doesnt want to grow because hes overloaded. Ive suggested cardoning off the business, but he does not have time to consider it. Sorry for the frustrations.
Edit: So right now Tom is still checking as to why no one at SouthXChange has replied to us with the new coin add parameter instructions. We have instructions on how to send them the .15btc to be listed, but this is where the buck stopped.
-
By now most folks are aware that as of Feb 1, 2018 BiblePay (BBP) is listed and trading live at SouthXChange. Accounts are easily setup and confirmed, deposits and withdrawals are working well, and the trading platform is easy to use.
fyi .. we have raised 305,000 BBP in donation/loans, plus $80 USD. The southXchange fee was 0.01 BTC, which I decided to temporarily pay out of pocket due to speed things up. Over the next few days I will likely sell enough to recover my BTC.
Reaching our goal to add another reliable exchange is a major milestone, and a great way to start off the month of February!

New Exchange Proposal - Add new Biblepay Exchange (SouthXchange.com FEE REIMBURSEMENT)
Approval of this Proposal will allow us to reimburse everyone who so generously loaned funds for the successful SouthXchange listing.
We received 305,000 BBP in donation/loans for the SouthXchange.com listing fee. I am requesting a BBP distribution of 307,500 BBP (which includes the 2,500 BBP Proposal Fee.)
Thank you!

Thank you for your work! Since I was one of the people who advanced the BBP, I vote in favor of this proposal ;D

Any hope to aim for another exchange (after we get a stable situation)?
What's the temptative budget range?
Some ideas:
CryptoBridge (1 BTC)
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScvq_sKqLGDFtHT8xB_a5yHLVz69ljJ_0Utk8V5Qs_LZVfUBg/viewform
Also, could it be interesting to aim higher to bigger exchanges? Some of them have no fees and I think that with PoDC and it's Charity vision, BBP has already a very interesting project to offer to the world. We can at least try it :-)
Poloniex (no fee)
https://poloniex.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/1000229325-how-can-i-get-a-coin-listed-on-poloniex-
Binance (no fee)

I was thinking about adding a proposal to the coming superblocks (say 500.000 BBP per superblock), so we can save up some money to get on a big exchange.
-
Please create it Jaap, Im all for it, these higher volume exchanges want a TON of money to get listed

Alright :) I'll do it. But I don't have enough BBP left on my pool account.
Rob, could you by any chance arrange that I can deposit BBP into my pool-address?
-

But some of the bigger ones like Poloniex and Binance don't have listing fees!.
The problem is that some serious paperwork needs to be done for them to even consider the listing.
I have some experience preparing "business plans" papers so I can offer my help. However, I would need to cooperate closely with you Togo and Rob.
Do you want us to try?
-
https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/
Probably best if we had some sort of public google doc / excel sheet we could all collaborate on
and we list every one of these exchanges, and who contacted them and what their listing fee and requirements are, what step of the process we are in, etc
Right now I am not sure who we have contacted already, who contacted them, what the fees are, etc etc etc
Potential Excel Columns:
Exchange Name, Contacted Already (Y/N), Contacted By (Name/Email), Point of Contact (Exchange Email), Language (English), Listing Fee ($$$), Other Requirements, Notes, Current Status (Hold off, Blocked, etc)
We probably want a 2nd google doc, to list all of our coins info that we need to in order to fill out these exchange listing forms, some of the questions are a bit more technical and would need Robs help
Anything I missed? Anyone want to jump on this?
-

I added 3K to your Balance just in case.
Brilliant guys, sure lets work on a google doc.
It is nice to have a standard centralized tracking status on these exchanges.
-
Togo, I sent you a link to a draft spreadsheet

I added 3K to your Balance just in case.
Thanks :D
Of course, it would be briljant if we could get on a major exchange for free, but I think it's also a good idea to start saving up so we aren't dependent on that to happen.
I volunteer to keep the funds safe until we really need them. I think I'm going to use a paper wallet for that (which I will store with redundancy alongside my other cold-storage crypto), both for safety and for keeping the funds completely separate from my own wallet.
Of course, there is an amount of trust involved, but my real name is known (and not so difficult to find if you just google my username). Otherwise, maybe a BBP multisig address might be an idea (if that's technically possible).
What would be an acceptable amount to strive for per superblock?
500k? 1000k?
-
Luke did a great job creating an excel sheet and filling it with info,
I finally dove in and looked through the exchanges listed on coinmarketcap, looking for exchanges that have lower listing fees and have high volumes of masternode coins,
these are exchanges I think we should contact next:
Crypto Bridge
Coinroom
Mercatox
Yobit (What ever happened with Yobit?)
Livecoin
Poloniex
Bittrex
Are you open to sharing the google excel sheet Luke?

Hi all, I should also thank the anonymous user who added some exchanges and formatted it a bit nicer.

Coinroom ---------- https://coinroom.com/ ------- ?? ------------------- https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/coinroom/ --------- Contacted

Poloniex ----------- https://poloniex.com/ -------- Free? --------------- https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/poloniex/ ---------- Submitted Form
Livecoin is too expensive for us right now at 4 BTC,
I think we can reasonably do 1 BTC from one or two monthly budgets
Bittrex is also free, but we have to have an Enhanced Verified Account with them to submit a listing, which we would need Rob I believe:
"Please provide an Enhanced Verified Account of team member registered on Bittrex.
This team member must be either a core developer or a major shareholder (10% or more) of a company that backs the development of the coin.
That member will need to submit identifying documents to get their account Enhanced Verified."
C-CEX still has new user registration disabled and has drama over losing Verge coins
CoinsMarkets is slowly enabling some coins, but has basically been offline for us for a couple months now
SouthXChange is doing well for us
-
Great work everybody!
I have an enhanced account at bittrex, but that account is on my gmail email-address. I could contact them from my biblepay email-address (give both email-addresses). That would probably qualify me as a 'core developer'.
I'm pretty positive about Crypto Bridge btw, because it's a decentralized exchange, so I see a lot of room to grow for them.
There is enough room left in the budget to get about 1 BTC in two superblocks I guess :)
I could request 1.5 million BBP in this one, and 1.5 million BBP in the next. And we can see what route we'll take from there?

Please do. I hope that in this superblock the remaining BBP is taken up for exchange listing or getting ahead with orphan payments or a mix of both.

I've read on bitcointalk that Rob has already payed ahead a lot of premiums for compassion.com (I guess he used his own BBP to sell before the next superblock will hit, probably because the bill was due).
Are there more people that will vote vote 'yes' on a 1.5 million BBP proposal for an exchange fund?
I'll submit the proposal in the PR-budget. That budget will then be bigger than 5%, but I don't think it matters, as long as the total budget doesn't cross the 15.375.000 BBP, right?
-
There is currently 2,533,945 BBP left in the budget if every proposal currently passing passes and every one currently failing fails
at $0.003 USD per BBP that comes out to ~$7,602 and at ~$9000 per BTC thats about 0.845 BTC
I think we can trust you Jaap to hold onto it, Id also be okay with holding on to it as well if the community is okay with it,
this does get into the whole centralized tmike sanctuary masternode debate, but this would be very short term I would hope

Allright, I just read the post Rob made on bitcointalk:
So we have about 5 more days until our next monthly superblock.
If anyone has any proposal ideas, please submit them now.
If we still have excess available this Friday evening, I plan on adding a compassion excess-to-orphan fund proposal to spend the remaining coins on something constructive, and will dump them on the exchange.
I just generated a paper wallet and will go ahead and make a proposal for 1.5 million BBP, and Rob can use whats left for extra compassion premiums :)
-
Okay everybody, if you want to vote 'yes' on this proposal, please use this command:
gobject vote-many ff91d38d5c8048a34ae006c23389befaa7d9945d2a6eeae4591ec40b4e4b694a funding yes
Of course, you can also check this in the pool. I've named the proposal 'New Exchange Fund (NOT fee reimbursement)'.
Maybe it's a bit confusing to have two proposals linking to one forum-thread, but since the discussion took place here, I've linked to this thread and didn't make a new one.
I'll keep all the funds locked in the paper-wallet address until we decide one what we'll do with it. The one thing I am thinking about, is maybe sell the BBP for BTC outside of exchanges (for example to someone who want's to get a Sanctuary but doesn't want to drive the price up on an exchange).

The pay ahead was in part from the extra "leftover" budget stuff. Basically we agreed that instead of expanding the number of orphans sponsored, we should instead expand the months sponsored until we hit a certain point (I've said at least a year, others have said six months) on the chance that we might nosedive in value at some point or have some other major issue that would not permit us to pay all the premiums.
Meanwhile, I'd love to see us on Bittrex or Poloniex and think any effort to get on Yobit is wasted (they have had many issues in the past and are in my mind are better to not be on).

Yes, I'm aware that he is paying ahead the premiums, and I've always been a proponent of this :) I just wanted to show that Rob was doing exactly that, and that, because of that, there is also room for some budget to go getting us listed on a new exchange in my opinion. There is a lot more budget than before from this superblock on.
Yobit is indeed out of the question as far as I'm concerned. Some shady things going on there (also with implementing new coins).
-
Alright guys, thanks for trusting me.
All BBP was transacted to a paper wallet that is in a backuped safe location:
http://explorer.biblepay.org:3001/address/B612bu2jxWC8vo6MrPSgZXsJVzbQrETrBx
I'm willing to sell the BBP (approximately worth a sanctuary) directly for BTC, and else I'm going to keep it in the wallet until it's decided what we'll do with the funds.
Maybe I'm even going to ask for 1'550'001 BBP in the next superblock, so I'll have a complete Sanctuary for sale ;D
Or maybe someone else can add a proposal for the next superblock, to spread some risks.
-
Alright, just sold the first 1.5M BBP for 0.45 BTC
Next round I'm probably going to ask for 1.550.001 BBP so I can really market it as a full Sanctuary :)
You can follow the funds here:
https://blockchain.info/address/3AojspQgpSSDdPJJANj4UtSBFUZy8YdduT
This is an address on my Ledger Nano S. If the fund grows, I'd rather have a multisig address with someone like Rob or Togo, so it's more trustless.
-
I created a new proposal for round 2 of the New Exchange Fund. It's for 1'550'001 BBP, so I can sell it as an entire Sanctuary (and not upset the market too much).
If you'd like to vote in favor of this proposal, you can use this command:

Like always, you can also get the command from the pool :)
Thanks!

I believe Rob also applied to Bittrex again a month ago as well.

Not an exchange but do you want me to request for listing in mnodes.club?
It’s a nice MN follow service. It’s pretty cool to control MN from several coins at the same time.

Just FYI, I contacted Mercatox today, and filled out the form on CryptoBridge. We'll see if getting an additional request changes anything.
-
While I wouldn't call this a definitive update, I talked to some people on the Cryptobridge discord, and their advice was that since we have submitted the form a few times and it has been quite a while, for someone to reach out directly to @shews or @CoinMan and inquire how we send payment, that it might kick things into gear a little bit.
Not sure if that would work or not, but I didn't want to "go rogue" and start offering our funds on my own :) so I thought I would pass it on.
-
Crypto Bridge reached out to me, they want to list us,
but there is a 0.5 BTC fee if we have a mandatory upgrade within the 1st month of being listed
our next mandatory is scheduled for June 26th (and after that Sept 30th)
I believe Rob wants to wait on getting listed until after June 26th
-
We have waited until now, and after c-cex reopening we are not in such a hurry fortunately.
-

I agree. I think that CryptoBridge is a fine opportunity, and waiting for another month is worth it. I guess that the announcement of getting listed there will be enough to get a positive vibe going until the actual listing.
-
Assuming nothing else comes up, Im requesting the rest of this months budget,
1,200,000 BBP of the 1,222,665 BBP left for future exchange listing fees
and I will send it to Jaap to hold onto

Voted 'yes'! Always good to have more for the Fund :)

Fund update:
I've sold about half of last months BBP for BTC on southXchange and QIEX. Someone seems to have put up a 3M BBP sell-wall on southXchange (I saw the wall move from 40 to 34 Satoshi). My sell orders are above that, so since the wall arrived I haven't sold BBP anymore.
Anyway, that's the update :) Of course, the Fund has paid 1 BTC for CryptoBridge and now we're saving for other future exchanges.
I'm going to ask for another round of 'one Sanctuary worth of BBP', so 1.552.501 BBP (one sanctuary + proposal costs).

Great work keeping this treasury topped off.
I think our exchange future is bright, after cryptobridge, (hopefully NEXT also) and then coinexchange.io, I think we will have double the investor presence.
I have a suggestion, this is sort of a caution. Since none of us know the future price of the market (IE market timing is impossible to know), nor do we know the future price of bitcoin, I recommend dumping coins that are over 30 days old on the exchanges so as to keep the situation moving. Obviously if you have the time and patience to do so slowly (IE 200K per day or something) then that is even better. But my suggestion stems from this: I would not want to see 3-6 million coins get backed up and unsold for 60 days while waiting for a better price. Because what can happen is two very bad things: Price could drop leaving us with nothing, and coinexchange.io could withdraw the deal (they have been known to if we wait too long).
So this is not a rule just a friendly recommendation that it would be better to flush them out each month and let the value buyers buy them up even if we have to take a hit. I feel that over time, all this averages out for us.

Thanks for the suggestion Rob. I totally agree with this :) I thought that I set reasonable sell orders, but I didn't anticipate the recent devaluation. My strategy worked well in the past, but it doesn't seem to work this time around.
I will use the strategy of selling all received coins before the next superblock from now on.
Btw, this is still the Exchange Fund address:
https://blockchain.info/address/3AojspQgpSSDdPJJANj4UtSBFUZy8YdduT
I accidentally used my own BTC to pay for CryptoBridge, haha! So the amount in this address will stay static until I have received more than 1.0369048 BTC from selling BBP at exchanges. I can provide full accountability if requested. Togo can also vouch that CryptoBridge has been paid. Sorry for the confusion.

Just, please stay away from yobit. There has been plently of problems with them...

Thanks for the advice. This is indeed the conclusion we also came to. We will most definitely stay away from Yobit for the time being.

Last month I just set some sell orders, but the price went down and a lot didn't trigger. From this month on I will have the policy do try not to have coins that are older than 30 days.
These sales calculate to 2M+ BBP sold for about 0.7 BTC, which is quite nice. I just added sell orders for this months received budget, but will keep a closer look on the price with the intention to sell all of the BBP before the next superblock hits.

I was abroad with very little internet this past month, so I had very little time to check the exchanges. I see that the price has dropped and some of my orders didn't trigger.
I just got back today. I will now check to see if we can get to 2 BTC as fast as we can :)
-
So, CoinExchange.io is paid. We didn't have enough budget, so I paid partly with my own BTC (and Rob requested extra funds this month).
The address below is still the Funds deposit address. The 'total received' is the only accurate number there (because of change-addresses and because I've paid the exchanges from my own BTC-account. But as you can see we're about 0.5 BTC in deficit as of now, so I'll be using the New Exchange Fund earnings first to close that gap before we can build up BTC again.
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/3AojspQgpSSDdPJJANj4UtSBFUZy8YdduT
I've also made a spreadsheet which I'll update from time to time:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1A0ZUlpMaw7pZ5YQEiLN7WoqZP1bq5VOcEZGzMS8KWlw/edit#gid=0
The total amount between the BTC deposit address and the 'total BTC received' in the spreadsheet are a little off because of transfer fees. The deposit address shows what is actually left in the end :)
I still need to sell 300k+ BBP this month btw.
Anyway. I think that the best way to proceed from here is that I keep sending BTC to the Funds deposit address until we hit 3 BTC (the fees of CryptoBridge and CoinExchance.io combined), and after that I'll start a new Fund deposit address.

Hi everyone,
So, Rob asked for 1 million BBP (which he will send to me after the next superblock hits), and I will further ask what is left over in the budget for this month.
There are two proposals that are redundant ('Twitter Advertising August' and 'YouTube Video Review'). If I leave those out, there is still about 593k BBP left in this months budget. I will ask for that budget to recoup the 0.5 BTC I spent on getting us listed asap. Hopefully, that will be within two months.
I hope that you all vote in favor of this proposal. But I know that money is tight right now.
After I recoup the 0.5 BTC, I will decrease the 'New Exchange Fund' amounts requested and try to focus more budget on the upcoming PR-campaign.
Thanks!

How long do you expect the funding to be needed to recoup the cost?
I personally believe we're now good for the number of exchanges short of a top 25 sort of one (which would either be prohibitively expensive, or in a lot of cases free but needing to be justified by increased volumes).

I agree with being good for the moment concerning exchanges. Hopefully - with the current market - it will take max two superblocks to recoup.

Hi everyone,
So, I've liquidated all the BBP that was in the fund. I'm a little disappointed at how much I could get this month, but the current market is how it is.
Sadly I'm currently still about 0.3 BTC short in the fund:
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/3AojspQgpSSDdPJJANj4UtSBFUZy8YdduT
SouthXchange has trouble loading at the moment, so I'll post the transactions later.
I won't be creating a proposal for this months superblock because we already pretty much spent all the budget on Compassion and Kairos (unless Rob drops the amount BBP he is asking for Compassion).

Hi Everyone,
As I stated in my last post, We're still a bit short in the New Exchange Fund, so I'll be requesting funds to recoup that until we are in the green again. This is the funds address:
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/3AojspQgpSSDdPJJANj4UtSBFUZy8YdduT
The only important number is the 'total received' number (because of change addresses and me having paid for a listing with my own BTC by accident). We paid 3 BTC on costs for getting listed on exchanges. So we're about 0.3 short still.
Here is an overview of all the sales (which I posted before). The number is a bit off with the New Exchange Fund address because of trading fees and withdrawal fees:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1A0ZUlpMaw7pZ5YQEiLN7WoqZP1bq5VOcEZGzMS8KWlw/edit#gid=0
Anyway, I'm requesting funds to recoup the costs I personally made until we're at 3 BTC. Everything above that will be put in the 'New New Exchange Fund'. I want to request 1.5M BBP for this in this superblock. At the current exchange rate, it will probably take 3 superblocks before we're in the green again.
