I can't see it. I have a feeling that adding a proposal with your wallet (not the pool) isn't working flawless yet. Maybe you can contact Rob and tell him exactly what you did, and you can figure out what went wrong?

Ah, well. 25 dollars won't break the bank :p

The website seems about a month old. Not much traffic going on. But visibility is visibility :)

I checked the form, but what does a 'sponsorship' actually mean exactly? That they'll advertise for us?

And do you think we get a discount because our project is Christian?

A trading bot does only what it is programmed to do. They can add some volume and "life" into market and that's one thing that is currently missing on BBP market. It can also lower volatility a bit. Both would help BBP and I believe it would be good for BBP to have some small bot with some small monthly budget for this purpose.  It's not fake volume because bot must pay trading fees as well. Fake volume it is only when exchange fees are zero or if bot belongs to the exchange owner.  You are right that many people blame bots for manipulating markets but it is a little bit artificial blame. Of course people create bots to perform more efficient trading strategies and so yeah, bots might be even pretty aggressive traders.

Market is down, correct. But why?
1) Downtrend phase - only temporary
2) No demand - main problem, no real crypto use case that would bring more demand. BBP has use case, but direction is only outflow : BBP are sold for fiat -> stable decrease in price. That's major problem here. Together with quite huge new coin emission it's difficult to keep the price without some stronger investor who will hold it or without significantly growing user base.
3) People are still mostly fiat oriented - that means they are still using crypto mainly for fast speculations (P&D) and storing wealth in fiat (or fiat-related products). BBP is not influenced by this that much so far.

Best thing would be to form some partnership between sponsored organizations and suppliers who would start accept BBP for gods without exchanging it to fiat. Once this network is formed it can grow and soon people might not be willing to go back to fiat. But it's very difficult to find several brave organizations that would form such a network and taking the initial risk. Even the biggest crypto projects were not able to accomplish this yet.

Interesting post.

I myself don't see the ethical wrongness in using a bot to bring volume and perhaps lower volatility. It's just automated trading and you pay the fees. But I am open to any other perspectives on this. Of course, using a bot in the current bid/ask market would probably not be beneficial since the volume is probably too low to be able to efficiently use it. For me, it's about getting noticed more. It's a form of PR.

I also agree with your market-analysis jmmc. But I don't really have input on that at this time.

Great.  I have my 2 back up again, and I see i got my last PODCs from the last few superblocks...
Where did we leave off...  Jaap did you receive your expected payment for the non Gridcoin non Biblepay team?  The spork is set to pay .35% to non biblepay teams....

Lets see if its 35%?

It is  8)

In the previous version and on team BiblePay I got about 1000 BBP, now I get about 300 BBP (but the RAC has probably also risen in the mean time).

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for adding your proposal. I will be voting 'yes' in this one. Very easy.

Hi everyone,

So, I've liquidated all the BBP that was in the fund. I'm a little disappointed at how much I could get this month, but the current market is how it is.

Sadly I'm currently still about 0.3 BTC short in the fund:

SouthXchange has trouble loading at the moment, so I'll post the transactions later.

I won't be creating a proposal for this months superblock because we already pretty much spent all the budget on Compassion and Kairos (unless Rob drops the amount BBP he is asking for Compassion).

You also have a nice 4 core / 14GB for 12 ($13.89) at Contabo

I have a 2 core vps for a BTC/LND node and no issues so far.

Oh, how cool that you are busy with LND! I messed around with it on testnet some months ago. Are you using it on mainnet?

About the proposal Togo: of course I will vote 'yet' (if the budget will allow it).

Windows is deployed.

I've got two sancs with ipfs online :)

There are some commands that let you fork a command to run in bash (in its own session), but the better way I think is to add the 'ipfs daemon' command to the machine startup script - I believe if you : nano /etc/rc.local and add it in there somewhere before the 'exit 0' line.

Thanks Rob. I'll try this.

Something else: I changed my team to a non-crypto non-BiblePay team and a superblock has passed, but I didn't receive a reward (I have another testnet-wallet that is connected and has a CPID that is in team-BiblePay for cross-checking). I will wait another superblock just to be sure.

I see the problem.  This should fix the home issue also.  In vultr, the public ip of the node is the actual bound ip of the node - so the firewall rules are simple:  just listen on the public internet IP.

On the home machine, its behind a router, and you have your port port forwarded to the machines LAN ip.  On AWS, I see this is the same; you are behind a router.  Your machine IP is and your sanc ip is  So what we need to do is listen on:  LAN IP : 8080 (not external ip 8080) and then forward the traffic To the machine on 8080.  So just try binding your 8080 to your LAN IP.    (IE On your AWS instance, change the binding for the gateway to : and see if it comes up)....

Ill try this on my home IPFS also later when I can reboot the machine.

Im working on a new version so we can test the Non-biblepay-team percentage feature, so we will need to all upgrade testnet.

I works!  ;D Thanks Rob.

This is my home IPFS:

And this is the AWS IPFS:

Question: I'm accessing AWS via Putty. But if I close my putty session, I think that will also terminate the IPFS, or am I mistaken in this? I tried my home IPFS, but that one terminates when I close the window.

Okay, got the AWS Sanc up an running. Same issue with the IPFS :(

Excellent, double checking your info on my testnet sanc3, I believe it is working properly - as far as the team blacklist.  I received my boinc reward on sanc3 properly also (being in team biblepay).  Now for sanity, lets have you switch from Gridcoin to a random team please?  Lets see if payments start?

Btw Jaap, did adding an attachment to a transaction work for you properly and you can view it on the gateway URL?

Okay, I switched from Gridcoin to Russia Team (teamid=264).

About the attachment. Yes, I tried that, it was successful, and I can view it on the biblepay gateway. I posted it a few pages back :)

Setting up my sanc on AWS now btw...

I will vote 'yes' for this proposal. But if we're still in the same predicament next month, I don't want to exceed the 10% budget for charity anymore.
