New wallet install on Win 64
« on: August 28, 2020, 01:39:46 PM »
Hi guys,

I see that a new wallet is available, 1.5.2.2 but I am not seeing the windows install yet.
Any way to be able to update the 1.5.1.4  to sync on windows 64?

Thanks.

You should be able to overwrite the old version if you are using the defaults.

After that, go to Tools, Wallet Repair, Reindex and it should resync the blockchain from 0 in case you were on a fork for 1.5.1.4.

This link may be helpful:
https://whitewalr.us/2020/bbp-1507-mandatory.html

I'd only say to do the tools, wallet repair reindex as a final step.

The main issue is the download page:

This link gives me an error:
http://biblepay.org/biblepay-win64.exe

"
This site canít be reached
The connection was reset.
Try:

Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
Running Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

"

Can someone confirm me that the link is still active?
Any other way to find the win64.exe install file?

Thanks.

Thanks,

Find other browsers to download it. I think the link is blocked in UAE or some special ports have to be open prior to before.

All good now.

Thanks for support.

We were under attack.

I believe the attackers vector has been blocked for the future.

Have a good one.

Hello,

yesterday i tried to install an new wallet on a fresh installed Windows 10 System. I downloaded the 1.5.2.9 and install it to the standard directories.
After starting the wallet the first time it stucks. In the left down corner it shows: Connecting to peers...  The right down corner shows: 0 active connections to the network.

We also try to activate upnp, we manuelly accept it in windows firewall, we reinstall... but nothing would help.
Today, i tried a new install on a completly other pc in a an other network: but is it exactly the same: no connection?!

What did we wrong?

Every Helpf would be awsome <3

Thank you and welcome aboard!

Sometimes it takes 15 mins to get peers downloaded, or it could be the system time.
Could you please check the system clock and timezone first?

If not you can try 'addnode 155.207.70.82 add'
'addnode 80.211.203.193 add'

Thanks!

Hi Rob,
thank you for your fast answer ;-)

I tried to add some nodes manually, without any changes. I also give the Wallet some hours for a connection, but there is absolutly silence.
Sometimes i got a single connection for one or two seconds to different random nodes in the "Tools -> Peers" Tab.

I have to change my Timezone? Actually the Time / Timezone is correct set for my Country.

Here are the last lines from the Log. Maybe anyone can see the Problem?
