Archived Proposals / September payment for Kairos Childrens Fund
« on: August 14, 2019, 07:48:09 PM »
Kairos Children's Fund is a small sponsorship organization. Biblepay is supporting 9 of the Kairos Children's fund kids. We are a charity in the Philippines helping children to get a good education, knowing that this is the best way to help them climb out of poverty.

This summer we had some projects. We didn't have to raise support through Biblepay since we had donors to cover the programs.

Go to our website to learn more about KCF. You can download our brochure and form here (https://tiny.cc/kairoscf)

We also encourage sponsors who will want to develop a relationship with their scholar and desire to encourage them throughout their education.

I am requesting 700,000BBP, which at the current rate is $490 (as of August 15). This will cover the monthly expenses for 10 children, as well as allow them to buy school shoes and backpacks. This is a blessing because Biblepay has been doing well lately.

Our website is down at the moment, so we are using a free host for the moment: https://kairoscf.wordpress.com/
https://kairoscf.wordpress.com/biblepay for information on Biblepay sponsored kids.

You can download our brochure and form here (https://tiny.cc/kairoscf)

We also encourage sponsors who will want to develop a relationship with their scholar and desire to encourage them throughout their education.

I had accidentally named the last proposal as the "August recurring..." It should have been for the month of July, not Augus. If you look back at archived proposals, I didn't propose for July.

So this is for August.

I am requesting 700,000BBP, which at the current rate is $341 (as of June 13). This will cover the monthly expenses for 9 children. Details of the expenses and children sponsored by Biblepay are on our website.

HELENA NARCISO        P175
ANGEL OZOA        P225
DANTE BALANSAG    P225
JOVELYN CADUSALE    250
ROWENA PALADAR    P250
PRINCESS CABUGNASAN    P175
PEPE GABRIEL    P250
TAJANA VEROSO    P175
EARL DARREN CHIU   P175(formerly Kent Suan)*
*the grandmother of Kent Suan voluntarily decided to give the allowance to Earl Darren Chiu, a very generous action. She felt that the family of Earl was less able to provide for his education.

Click here to see our budget for the month of July * note that this is only estimated.

In the interest of transparency, I will post some of the changes to Kairos in San Jose. Because of a church conflict in that town (mainly envy - this can often happen in a small town) we have stopped sponsorship of 4 of the 5 children there.

The problem in a small town like this is that envy can become a big issue, and in this case it was hurting the church, even though we explained that this is not a really church-based ministry.

We will continue sponsoring Diana Deguit, but not through Biblepay anymore. Diana is the oldest and consistently going to school.
Jelu Tagaun, Markkis Umba, James Buit often don't go to school. Kate Rebutazo has an aunt who supports her so she told us that she will continue.

The support that Biblepay sends will be given to 5 children from here in the city.

Please, if there are any questions or need clarification, please ask. or email me ([email protected])

I thank God for Bible pay and other supporters. This year we have added two children to the program.
Please don't hesitate to email me if there are any questions regarding Kairos

We are really thankful - as the kids are also - for the support from Biblepay.

Now, the next school year will start in July, but students are starting to enroll and buy school supplies. Besides Biblepay's support, we also appreciate individual sponsorship. There are always kids on our waiting list, especially elementary age.

Since it is summer, we are raising money for the summer projects which we offer the children. Each of them are attending a church-based discipleship program, and we also give them the opportunity to learn a musical instrument or join a sports clinic. I am requesting 600,000BBP, which at the current rate is $160(as of March 21).

We are really thankful - as the kids are also - for the support from Biblepay.

The next school year will start in July.

This link (https://drive.google.com/open?id=16aJ1xBc_oAVj6NUm16i6cBYQ-Pl_FOoL) will download the brochure that will allow you to sponsor a child, if you would like to individually support.

Sorry for the very delayed reply. To convert BBP to peso (Philippine peso) I used southxchange, and then convert to bitcoin. From bitcoin I can transfer to an exchange in the Philippines which also deals in fiat. There are fees, but not very big.
The 'human' error in March was when I exchanged without checking the exchange rate, which had momentarily dropped. But thankfully I had some reserve funds (from Biblepay and other donors)
Thanks for asking and suggestions are welcome

I received a donation praise the lord , and thank you very much . A little bit goes a long way . In fact this month there are plenty of students who are graduating or moving up, as they call it here .
We will be buying gifts and supplying their family with additional rice.

Now , during the summer there are activities which the scholars join . They can either have music training or join a sports clinic. I will continue to create proposals for the same amount dot this would go to subsidize their summer programs.
They will be back to school in july

Biblepay is supporting 10 of the Kairos Children's fund kids. We are a charity in the Philippines helping children to get a good education, knowing that this is the best way to help them climb out of poverty.  The money we receive goes to prepay for the next month (April)

Sadly, last month I withdrew the funds to BTC at the wrong time and lost about 90% of the funds.

I am requesting 700,000BBP, which at the current rate is $160(as of March 21). It is almost the end of the year, so we will be paying for their school fees (only about USD 4) and graduation expenses, plus a small gathering for the scholars.

The monthly amount per child is $20 for elementary students or $22 for high school students. We have 5 elementary and 5 high school students at the moment with Biblepay, so the cost is $200 per month. You can see the details below or on the website.
We have also budgeted USD 10 per student who is graduating (or "moving up"). Moving up means that they are going from junior high school to senior high school. You can see the list of students below who is graduating or moving up.

As you can see, the 750k BBP is just enough for these 10 kids.
Lately, we have been cutting some things from the program, since we are getting only a few donations outside of regular sponsorships of the children. For next school year, we are re-evaluating our strategy and may have to cut even more benefits.
We are hopeful for generous contributions. If you want to give in other ways besides voting for this proposal, you can go to our website. Our BBP wallet address is BFgjRqHD7gMr6gcp2PcLafNF4QPPkrQnG3

Thanks,

God bless you,

Archived Proposals / March recurring payment for Kairos Children's Fund

I am requesting 750,000 BBP, which at the current rate is $177 (as of Feb 19). This will be barely enough to support these children for another month, but not much else besides their bare allowances (unless the rate goes up). The money will be used for their transportation, lunch, projects, and school fees. The families will also be given a monthly 'rice allowance', which we raise from other means.

The monthly amount per child is $20 for elementary students or $22 for high school students. We have 5 elementary and 5 high school students at the moment with Biblepay, so the cost is $200 per month. You can see the details below or on the website.
