Yeah i have also connection errors trying to connect, but  bbp.miningpool.fun also down for me so looks to be universal among the pools.

I am in the same boat. I saw higher hash returns yesterday and earlier today, but now I am getting no connection errors. I will keep a look out and watch for the "G2G" message(s)! Have a great Thursday all!

My wallet says I have 8M but the send coin control says there are 11M are locked & staked. I had trouble with the 3M locking the other day... I wonder if that's why...? See attachment.

Just ran a ping on foundation.biblepay.org - it is responding, so the site is not down. Cheers!

I see that the site is back up and running. It must have been a "blip". Happy Mining, everyone!

Hi All,

I just want to let everyone know we had a server outage, and I am restoring one of the servers now.

EDIT: Finished.

Rob, it looks like all my BBP/XMR miner workers all dropped off the XMR Viewer. On the console of a worker, I am seeing the following error after I restarted the xmr mining client:
[2021-03-04 08:43:40.159]  net      foundation.biblepay.org:3001 connect error: "operation canceled"

-R

Was the outage just for a couple hours around last night at midnight and then it was resolved by 2am?  Just wondering because I believe the pool experienced a dns problem when I was taking the other server down.

I think we lost your attachment due to the server migration so I cant see it, but can you try this:
Since bbp will not re-stake a utxo that it has seen, try unlocking the ones that are not staked (they are the ones with no plates found but locked), spend them to yourself, then you can restake them.

I think this will be impossible to do for a new user going forward but it was possible due to the first release etc.

No, it was definitely this morning. Looking at the graphs on MineXMR dashboard, my workers went offline right at 8am Eastern and they came back online around 10:15 Eastern.  It didn't appear to be a network issue on my end, as everything else was fine (both kids doing class remotely and my wife working remotely).

So for me it looks like the time stamp was 14:30 central european time that foundation pool went down. and at 16:15 they switch back from failover pool to  foundation pool.

We definitely need to keep an eye on this:

https://portswigger.net/daily-swig/prime-factor-mathematical-foundations-of-rsa-cryptography-broken-claims-cryptographer

If this proves to be true 75% of the world systems will have security problems to fix, and although ECDSA is distinct from RSA, meaning bitcoin keys are still safe through this attack, ecdsas relationship to this attack is still not known (curves vs primes).

The scary thing about it is a longer key will not help you beef up security -- your entire algorithm would need changed.  Also a lot of people dont realize many of the other algorithms are based on RSA and/or primes already.  This is a serious allegation.

Oh OK, it was in the morning, thanks.  Well thats interesting then-- that means we actually had 3 problems at the same time:  Wiki, BBP web site, and foundation.  Apparently foundation was down while I was moving wiki & bbp-web to a new server.  Anyway those two should not have been related.  Must have been a coincidence.

Everything is working now.

With the talk about getting twitter more active i was thinking we should get biblepay reddit up and running again.

Good idea, maybe MIP has the keys.  MIP can you see if you have them or if Togo can give them to you?

Maybe Earl would be interested in moderating it or being a comod.

I think we could use a couple totals in the wallet:  One for grand totals for the leaderboard (for UTXO) and some totals in the 'listutxostakes' command.

Then I can give us a little update to see what progress we've made.

Ill do this now and then send out a progress update!
