Dear all,
The idea is to create www.biblepay.es (Spanish) but in a way that it goes in the same line than biblepay.org (English), so I will clone the website, translated and change very slightly to adapt it for Spanish speakers.
I am not going to translate literally as most of the people do, I will keep some technical terms in English and will add explanations of the terms in Spanish beside the literal translation as reference, you will see slightly modifications
to give more sense and have a better approach to let the public understand the concepts of cryptocurrencies.
I am not requesting funds because the website will be hosted in a Sanctuary server and the domain is paid with the rewards.
I am just requesting permission to clone the biblepay.org website, use exactly the same design, icons, images, etc, and all that may be subject to copyright.
Thanks.!

Im for a Spanish website,
If we get and setup one of these plugins above, we could keep them together,
but Im not necessarily against them being separate
Id get in contact with Jaap, he currently works on the website
Look forward to this Fixer!

The plugins are ok to translate the original site in many languages. Thats ok and I am agree. But you know, nobody notice, but translators sometimes do ridiculous translations. P.e. we dont have to translate words like: chat, whitepaper, exchange, airdrop, pool, among others. At least not literally, we have to change this words for something different to give the real meaning.
My proposal go beyond. It can be Biblepay focused in Latinamerica & Espaņa. Having a separated site we have the freedom to translate in a way to let the people understand, adding dedicated pages for the local community, better explanations about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies but in terms that Spanish speakers can understand.
I think we could coexist with both, main page with plugins and a sister page for spanish.
I am not sending the proposal for votation yet, I want to see the feedback first.

If it is just a translation, I would leave it in a biblepay.org/es/ resource tree.
There is another option of creating a subdomain es.biblepay.org, so you can create your own website with more contents oriented to the spanish-speaking comunity, but still keeping the biblepay.org domain.
What I am trying to avoid with this is the proliferation of several "biblepay" websites that may confuse end users and community (like .es for Spanish, .de for German, .nl for Dutch, .pl for Poland, etc.)
At the same time, country.biblepay.org subdomains should be issued only to community users that want to contribute, under some sort of "integrity agreement", this is, website creator commits to control content in the local website to avoid profanity and obscenity among others.
These are my thoughts on this.

Fair enough your explanation and I like it.
This one fits perfect with my proposal, and I save the money of the domain :)

As I explained before, you can keep the translation of the main site with plugins also, so we can have the option to translate the site in many languages.
I will wait more days before I post the proposal in order to know more the thoughts of the community. Thanks MIP

WPML or Polylang are two plugins for multilingual WordPress
https://wpml.org/ (https://wpml.org/) (paid)
https://wordpress.org/plugins/polylang/ (https://wordpress.org/plugins/polylang/) (free)
Both offer integrated professional translation services (paid) or community based translators (e.g. Fixer for Spanish) that can be assigned pages to translate.
I appreciate Fixer wants to translate Spanish and there are free ways to set this up on on biblepay.org
There's nothing to stop someone from creating their own Spanish speaking community. But if the translator wants to contribute to existing infrastructure, s/he does not have to worry about running a web site and keep the focus on translation.
Based on Google Analytics, the most needed translation is Russian & Chinese. Hopefully, we can find other people willing to translate for those languages.

Looks like some translation was previously done for Spanish. Maybe just the BitcoinTalk announcement?

If BiblePay.org decides to be multi-lingual, you can take all the translations and include them as a starting point.
