Here is something very scary:

Going to https://www.vultr.com (or vultr.com):

LOL.  Can you imagine how many cryptocurrencies are shaking in their boots right now if the "decentralized" networks no longer exist?

Luckily all the servers are up, but it goes to show you how 'decentralized' crypto really is.  Im not bashing our space -- simply pointing out a vulnerability we should build around as we mature - to ensure we host some sancs on our home networks also.  On a side note, we are the only coin to my knowledge that have Windows sanctuaries available in addition to linux.  And since we don't require watchman on the wall anymore we also support nginx free watchman.

EDIT:  They are back up now.

For sure. Will send you a email on mainnet, currently setting up mail and what not.

Yeah i got a rpi 4 i was thinking setting up a sanctuary on as a project.  Also i suppose running a full node helps out.

Thats awesome, I didnt get it yet, but will keep checking.

On the sanc, do realize that we currently require each sanc to sponsor a cameroon-one orphan for $40 a month.  This keeps our governance committee very interested in the best interests of the coin.  I just want you to know up front.

Yes but a full node always helps out even if you want to do it as an occasional hobby.  I dont even know if RandomX-lite will run in a pi! We had one user who had trouble finishing the compile a few months ago.

One positive thing about BBP, is we have a lot of full nodes running since we are CPU mined, and we have about 50 sanctuaries (full nodes) always running.  But dont get me wrong, a lot of these sancs are on vm-hosts so adding a home node is always great.  Especially if you sponsored an orphan an ran a home sanc, that would be a new one!

Hi bro--

You can still mine podc for 30 more days but the more permanent way is RandomX for the coinbase reward, then starting on March 1st you can do utxo-staking:

https://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=517.msg10188#msg10188

If you have any BBP saved up by now it will be easy for you to create long-positions.  And if you have any other of the supported cryptos even more, as these positions will be seen in the leaderboard for daily rewards.

Hey Rob, et al.

I tried to set up "My User Record" today. I followed the directions at https://wiki.biblepay.org/Decentralized_Email
When I clicked "save", I realized that my Internal email address was still sitting at N/[email protected]. Is that right?

I will hopefully have an email client set up soon and will send an email out to you, once I allow enough time for three blocks to go by.

Once a few blocks pass and you go back in that page, the internal email address should change to yournickname @ biblepay.core.  Plus be sure to reboot the wallet once for it to take effect.

Rob - all is well. I opened up the wallet this evening and found it exactly like you said it would be. I will work on the IMAP/POP client tomorrow and get you a test message ASAP. God bless!

First of all, everyone, please lets not create new UTXOs until after block 255,000 since they do not pay yet.

Next, I tried to reproduce the problem by going into the UI -> SendMoney -> Check UTXO stake, and I sent one, and analyzed the transactions, and it did create one successfully with a 1 DR to the burn address and I received the rest back as change.  I don't see a problem in the code.

Although you pasted the burn address, could you please give me the actual TXID.  (You can get that from the transaction list  | double click | copy txid to clipboard).   Because the one you pasted has no xml in it.  And please confirm what wallet version you are running and that you are synced.

And please confirm exactly what happened to your balance - how much you had and how much was debited and how much you have left.

EDIT:  Playing around with the UI, I have a hypothesis.  I think you might have checked UTXO-stake checkbox, and that is when the wallet will specifically create a utxo stake (for the amount specified), but it will only actually burn 1 bbp and send the rest back as change.  However, then I think you might have Unchecked the utxo checkbox and then the wallet left the burn address populated.  Then you went ahead and sent 4.5MM bbp (a very large amount) to the burn address, effectively destroying it.  That would explain why there is no xml in the transaction.

I suppose, if this is what happened, we should clear the Address field any time someone unchecks the UTXO-stake checkbox.  I will add that code right now.

Sorry to hear about this loss.
