If we missed the mandatory upgrade, is an erasechain required? or try exec reassesschains?

If I do an erasechains, are all my utxo mined transactions forgotten or unlocked? should I give it a day or two to see if get a utxo mining payment without doing anything further?

Yeah, you can post the list here or DM me if you want. I believe the Foundation has a Tweet List or a way to advertise messages within the system and get BBP. So, we could ask people to like, subscribe, and comment on the YouTubers as a start. It'd build some good will toward these individuals or companies.

I have been gathering a pretty comprehensive list of some Christian youtubers, companies, etc. that, whenever we deem ourselves ready to really make a push for adoption, we can contact for either advertising, support, or adoption. Also, Pat, sorry about not emailing you, I will do it soon once I have a better idea myself of what I am going to say to the church I am at pertaining to adopting BBP as a form of tithe, and once I get more settled in there too. Let me know if you would like to see the list I have made and add to it yourself. Maybe we should make that some sort of subthread on this site?
May God bless you all,
twinkle

EDIT:

It turns out we cannot create a dual reward between wBBP + UTXO Stake.
This is because Dynaxius explained, once the wBBP is wrapped and staked into the liquidity pool (LP), amounts are shifted around and spent regularly to provide liquidity for withdrawals.  So the wBBP will not be able to be staked in a UTXO as it will be changing.

Is there a way to borrow BBP from the pool at an interest rate lower than what the UTXO mining would pay out? If this was around when PoDC requirement was around, people that didn't have enough BBP for PoDC requirement could have borrowed then potentially earn more than on the difference.

People seem to trust cameroon-one, which is great, and so far our technical requirement is the orphanage provides a public URL for the bio, and if we point to an orphan from a sanctuary, the sanctuary public key is on the bio, etc.

This is something that would really be nice to standardize.  I approached Compassion.com with this idea a long time ago (all we want to do is require compassion to place either an organization ID on a bio, or a public key on a bio).  (They did not agree to talk to us about it - yet, after a few attempts).

I made another link to a different site for the PDF. Feel free to try again if you wish.

I appreciate Cameroon-One willing to take the extra steps to integrate with BiblePay.

Upon sponsorship, couldn't we associated the Compassion GID with a public key? https://www.compassion.com/sponsor_a_child/child-biography.htm?gid=08037005&source= IDK, just thinking out loud. I feel that having Compassion.com add that bit to their web site is a big block and unlikely to happen even if long-term, more orphans can be sponsored.

I've been wanting to dabble in DeFi farming, pools, etc so this wBBP will be a good introduction for me. I don't understand the mechanics or economics myself, but I'm hopeful a form of donor-advised fund that can give regularly is possible through a liquidity pool without lowering the price of BBP.

Wanted share an interesting article with donor advised funds, crypto, and utilitization of smart contracts. These are all things related to BiblePay. Just imaging a decentralized way to track donations of all types to charities. While the article mentions crypto specifically, I could see stablecoins like USDC involved in giving to specific addresses that are then used for specific purposes. You can see all this on the blockchain and you get more transparency than charities that often don't disclose how their funds were used until an annual report. I also wrote a post in 2019 about the viability of using blockchain for charitable giving: https://whitewalr.us/2019/1682.html

Here's an aligned article about using NFTs to save lives. I know you've been thinking about NFTs and orphan sponsorship, so the article is relevant.

Building a water filtration tank in an area that has rain isn't that hard - just getting a large enough tank to hold the sand, rocks, etc. needed to filter the water is the key. There are arid places in the world this might not work so well, but for the most part a lower-cost and MUCH lower eco-impact solution would be really good!

I've heard some places in Mexico get so much rainfall, but the poor people are unable to capture it, let alone filter it. Some simple systems to just offer big 50 gallon barrels to capture the rainwater is an immense help. Instead of having to spend labor fetching clean water from a source, they can capture it, sanitize, and use it all within their home setting. Its so sad to see people not have access to clean water when plenty of it falls from the sky like manna.

This person said they were able to build an unofficial build of xmrig on macOS
https://github.com/mydicebot/xmrig-macos-build

And some alternative steps for Apple on xmrig:

Not that the wallet miner is xmrig, but I thought it might help with the flags or parameters.

Discussion and Suggestions / Re: Tipping bot on Discord
« on: April 20, 2021, 10:47:10 PM »
There is also a tipping bot on discord called tip.cc that is very popular and carries many different chainz on their service. The cost to get listed was also very reasonable.  https://tip.cc/

25
The 8 hours is not a coincidence.  The network allows the chain to move on after 8 hours if the daily GSC superblock is not approved.  (Another words, we have a normal chain for 204 blocks per day, and an 8 hour limit on the 205th block).

a mwiljanen on discord mentioned 264674 and 264675 (daily superblock?) had 8 hour between blocks. Issues with consensus?

26

I added up the hours and it is about 8 hours between the two blocks. The difficulty was not that high so that is curious. Did the mining pool have issues? Is anyone solo mining biblepay?

Might want to check the block chain. Believe it has been hung for 6 hours

Archived Proposals / Re: UTXO Staking on Steroids

What this does is limits the 'edge' received by referral codes using a law of diminishing returns.  Worst case scenario is a very greedy person would print one out for themself (for 10% of their portfolio) then stake with that code in a new wallet.  That would quickly end the cycle when the new wallet could only generate 1% of the original size.

I'm often impressed with your clever solutions. I also thought about the fraud angle as soon as you mentioned referrals and this seems like a good way to reduce fraud and at most you can earn 10% off your own BBP. Great job!

Is 2* is the most you'd consider? What if someone really believes in the project and wants to stake for 2 years, 3 years, 5 years, or even 10 years like Togo did with HEX?

I believe tax due for 2021 was extended to May 17, 2021

https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/tax-day-for-individuals-extended-to-may-17-treasury-irs-extend-filing-and-payment-deadline#:~:text=Taxpayers%20should%20pay%20their%20federal%20income%20tax%20due,payments%20that%20are%20due%20on%20April%2015%2C%202021.

Taxpayers should pay their federal income tax due by May 17, 2021, to avoid interest and penalties.

The IRS urges taxpayers who are due a refund to file as soon as possible. Most tax refunds associated with e-filed returns are issued within 21 days.

Thank you, Sun. I appreciate the help. I think this is what I will need to do, as the website that I am attempting to use doesn't natively import BBP Wallet, nor SouthXChange .csv files. There are other options, of course, but April 15 is coming soon. Simply put, yes, there are differences between holding >1 year and <1 year - and they are capital gains taxes. With the BBP wallet, at least I can prove FIFO for 2019-2020. Thanks again and God bless.

Great job Rob. I had a little issue with easystakebbp because I didn't have enough "change". So I had to do an exec bankroll first. I wonder if there's an easier way to make easybbpstakework. I don't know the technicalities of how locking of the tx works... but it'd be nice if easybbpstake could handle that for me. As mining PoDC ends, how important is it to ensure large aged coins remain aged? I'm just thinking of new users and helping them encounter less friction using easybbpstake and to help BBP grow. Thanks for reading!

You can find a crypto tax/accountant if you want... but you can also roll your own. Just take any values of crypto from coinmarketcap taking an average of the day (add up all four values, low-high-average, etc). Then tie them into any time you buy or sell the crypto. Then use the fiat values to figure out how much is taxable. You'd have to keep track of your balance on 1/1/2020 and then again on 1/1/2021 to see what you've bought & sold crypto wise in that time. you only pay tax on what you've gained fiat wise. i'm not clear if you pay like it is capital gains for profit less than 1 year vs 1+ years, so it wouldn't hurt to get consultation from a tax expert. Most will answer or give you a free 15 minutes consultation which should be enough to get an answer.

I have a question to those of you in the USofA -
I am trying to do the right thing with my taxes and cryptocurrencies. Can you suggest any services that might help me to wrap up all of the .csv files from wallets and exchanges for a complete picture of holdings and earnings? It seems rather complex and my brain hurts, but I want to honor God and do it right the first time. Any help is appreciated!
