I also have the same problem

Please provide the URL you are referring to so I can look into it?
(And if you are a miner, and the event you are trying to click into)?

EDIT:  It looks like it works for me... Need more info.

Sanctuary Discussions / Re: Raspberry pi 4 2gb/4gb
« on: July 26, 2021, 08:03:21 PM »
Im pretty excited. Some new hardware have arrived.

  • Raspberry pi4 8GB LPDDR4 RAM
  • Argon m.2 case
  • WD Green 240GB m.2 ssd

I have had some cases for raspberry pi before , cheap acrylic case , flirc case for the 3b and so on. Gotta say this Argon one m.2  case is really nice quality built.

I will post some pictures of the case and the future sanc.

Once i get everything up and running i will do some updates, might make a tutorial "how to"

Hi Earlz,

I see you got it all inserted once I quit hounding you.

Wow, that machine really looks cool!  I do find it pretty amazing that will run on 10 watts, and you can get 20 randomx hashes per second too, which is more than plenty to run the sanc at full speed!  Also Im impressed how much ram you can get on there, it should be pretty close to a single core intel cloud device or so etc.  On a side note, I paid a couple grand for a SAN just 5 years ago, and I saw a 1TB USB stick for something like $49 and it made me wonder if there are any network attached USB sticks (there are a couple on amazon) but of course the issue with those is they dont handle parallel IO very well, so it would only be good for a single user system (IE would be great for a video storage system for a household).  (I also found you can plug a stick into a roku, and use the roku as a household media streamer).

Anyway one other interesting use I found for raspberry PI, there is an article out there: how to build a windows 11 raspberry pi.  Its really ironic that windows 10 wont work on it but 11 will.
But over 11 I think I would still go with your sanc idea (simply because in my case, visual studio wont run on a pi running windows 11, due to the processor architecture), although it would be a nice surfing computer for an extra room in the house etc.  One that could run on solar power.

Maybe you can make a solar powered sanc.

Hello brother Rob.

I have tested the "add prayer" feature and it was smooth, aswell as leaving a comment and thumbs up on the individual prayer requests.

Still i have not managed to upload the video file.
Here is the first file i tested:

Still i dont get it to upload the video file. I noticed after a while on unchained site i got the message:   Figure i test out some pictures and pdfs next..

Hi Bro Earlz,

Thank you for the detailed testing results.

Sorry for the delay; for some reason, I didn't get this last notify email.

Anyway, over the last 2 days, I did some more testing on this issue and I did find an additional issue that only occurs in production.  You know, on a side note, in the background, we are actually working on making this very resilient so that free speech info can be posted and it cant be taken down.  That particular CDN is making it a little challenging to accept uploads > 100 meg.  However I think its fixed now.  We moved to a new asynchronous upload.

Could you please try these again and also on a side note please try one small file too if you have any problems.
Btw, when you upload your videos, they should appear in "Your channel" so you will know they uploaded.

Another note, the prayer you added a while back, schema changed, so your avatar and username (and everyones got erased)  -  and not because we can erase it (since its on a sidechain) because of the way the data is mapped.

Could you please try adding an avatar to your user record too?

Thanks!

Good Morning to you all

well can some one please  tell me  whats  going on with the wallet
all im now getting is this
this also means that  remote rpc  stops working

thanks
Paul

Try stopping the node, then do this:
rm ~/.biblepay/SAN -r
Then restart the node; ( its possible that after all those restarts earlier this week, you may have a corrupt prayers file).

It should only take 30 seconds extra after the *first successive* (after deletion); then each successive boot is fast.

LOL it would of been a lot easier if you had just built them and  put it on github

but i think we are sorted now

thanks for all the help

Paul

Right, I honestly didn't know we were going to need to require 1.6.2.8+ til you couldn't resync from 0 (over the last day or so); now what I'm waiting on is a code review for trust wallet, so as you can imagine, there are a couple things I need to do before I can push out 1.6.3.0 as a release and that is holding us up...

Thanks for your patience and I am glad you got it sorted out.

Also realize, we should be in a position to never break consensus between mandatories in the future now that our DM issues have been sorted out.
Its been a challenge getting those DM issues merged in and every sanc upgraded, but now we should be stable for a long period.

Thanks.

Hi Rob
i would love to upgrade  to the latest version
but on github its  https://github.com/biblepay/biblepay/releases
1.6.2.5 so where do i get the new one from

thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,

I mentioned earlier, I didn't make a mandatory-upgrade-release out of it, but you can 'git pull origin master' 'make' to get the latest (1.6.2.9).

If you need a release to be made, let me know.

Do you not have a bootstrap or a chain snapshot
cos tbh this is  taking up far to much time

thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,

Sorry for the inconvenience; we do have a chain snapshot; but I've never ran into a problem where one single person needed it yet, so please let me try one more thing.

Your version is still 1625 above- can you please upgrade to 1629 first?

I think you are affected by our business logic rule for the superblock.  (Of course, the reason I deployed it as a leisure is it was not expected to change our consensus, however since all the sancs have upgraded, now we need everyone to be on 1628+ at this point).

(On a side note, last night I synced from zero just as a test on my 1629 linux node and it did sync to the top with no problem).

Thanks,
Rob

*** BIBLEPAY HAS SPONSORED ANOTHER PAKISTANI WELL ***

We just finished our 19th well, praise God!

See well #19:

https://foundation.biblepay.org/Wells

Earlz, if your out here, we have about 5MM sitting in the foundation.  Would you like to start another fundraiser, like you did last time for some more wells?  I'm thinking since we have about $750, we can already afford 3, so maybe we can do a fundraiser to raise for five wells?

Is Genconstar here?

I bought the BiblePay Miners NFT for 400,001 bbp:

This is the URL I got as the high-quality URL.

Question, am I supposed to get another URL for the final product?  (Cause I noticed it says Preview in the hi-qual url).  Just checking.

Other than that, its pretty cool!  I like the 4*2 = ? on the rock!

Just so you know, the way this auction works is the pool gives 14 days [of time to elapse] after the first bid placed greater than the reserve amount, to the successful highest bidder over the reserve price, and that sale happens automatically on the 14th day.  The timing starts after the first bid greater than the reserve.

Ok well i have done that  and it still get stuck on block 279341
also the wallet version is  as follows
 biblepay-cli --getinfo
{
  "version": 1060205,
  "protocolversion": 70772,
  "walletversion": 61000,

  "keypoolsize": 1000,
  "paytxfee": 0.00000000,
  "relayfee": 0.25000000,
  "warnings": ""
}

so we are still stuck

It could be your system time then; try setting your system time to atomic clock time, verify your timezone, and restart.

If that does not work, try deleting the *.dat files in your data directory (IE mncache, peers, all those) and restart with -erasechain=1?

Then you should sync to the chainz top block:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bbp/
Thanks,
Rob

** Status update on Development - and Future Projects **

So on our conf call yesterday, MIP made me aware that users are complaining they don't know what parts of BiblePay are in production and what are 'expirimental'.

Although the roadmap is accurate, it is a very high level diagram.  Then we have testnet threads, which people may or may not know the details.

It seems that we need a document outlining the 'current quarter' so people will understand our development endeavors.

Anyway for now, let me give you an update on what is in beta and whats in production:

Production:
BiblePay Core Harvest, which includes Portfolio Builder UTXO staking (and non biblepay staking positions) - those are going quite well, and appear to becoming popular - we have $173,000 locked up in UTXO stakes at this point.  We need a poll to see if users want us to remove the leaderboard and make it so everyone is anonymous, or I wonder if having an anon address is enough?  You can keep your portfolio builder position without a nickname if you want as well.

BBP University - Learning the gospel - Taking tests on it in the core wallet:  This is a great feature, and its in prod.  We have almost half of the modules from Harvest Time in our wallet (just waiting for some users to finish the courses we have and see demand for the remaining courses, then we will add the rest).

NFTs:  These appear to be very successful, our Orphan NFTs are going very well with almost one being sponsored every other day.  I see that Todd replaces NFTs with new NFTs as soon as someone sponsors a child.  I think this is partially why our price went down, but its for the good of the children.

Beta:

The Amazon storefront, https://foundation.biblepay.org/Storefront,  is working great.  I havent had any complaints at all.  We have had a small amount of orders successfully delivered.  Our Orders page has automatically added Delivery Date and Intl-Tracking #, and marks items as completed.  It even auto-fails an item that is not in stock (we had a couple cereal orders that were not in stock that automatically get credited back to your account, and the order is closed as completed and not in stock).  I have a todo item on my list to encrypt the shipping addresses (IE only expose them to Amazon during the order and on your screen when you list them to yourself).  That will be done soon and I think that is what is causing some hesitancy for users to use this at a high level.  This service, afaik, will be released to prod in 90 days.  Its currently available in the US.  The financial side of it is working perfectly.

Alpha:

BiblePay TV:  BiblePay TV allows you to watch any video that is in our Unchained.biblepay.org area for free, on your ROKU.  You can also sponsor an orphan from there.
We are the first Cryptocurrency to have a built in wallet in the roku also.  You can send BIBLEPAY to Your ROKU today, and spend it on an orphan NFT.  We have a lack of testers; and that is keeping this project in alpha.

Unchained.biblepay.org:  This project is extremely exciting.  It not only allows you to use your phone or browser as a wallet, but it has the underpinnings for social media as well.
More details will be given in the wiki.  This is also in alpha.  We need many more testers for unchained.

** How centralized is BBP **

We also had this question come up recently, so I wrote this wiki doc in response:

https://wiki.biblepay.org/BiblePay_Is_Not_Centralized

Hi Paul,
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Although we didn't have a mandatory upgrade, we had a leisure between 1625 and 1629 that allows the wallet to sync (if it is off for a certain amount of time) and get past a certain type of block (down to a certain rounded decimal) and our exchanges and bx's moved up to that version as well; so could you first please upgrade to the latest (git pull origin master     make) - should be up to 1.6.2.9, then restart with "-erasechain=1" on the start param, and see if everything is fine?

Thanks!

Hi bro Earlz, great to see you!
Thanks for testing!

Thats great on the first part, as far as using the wallet.
So trying to reproduce the file upload:  I was able to upload a 99 meg video without an issue, but I am starting to see a problem with files bigger than 100meg.
Plz try a video smaller than 100meg as a test just for confirmation.

I see that programatically, users who upload videos bigger than 100 meg (I uploaded 250 meg videos) through biblepay.dll, those work.
But through the Page, we are recieving a 413 error (file too large for CDN).
Im going to look for a fix for that for the front-end in the mean time....

Ok, please try now, it should now allow uploads Up to 700 megs.

Above that we will need a special file splitter page, and/or require the user to use the DLL to upload the really big files.
Once we get rolling we can put a bounty out for a dev to enhance the splitter page for bigger than 1gig etc.

Mornin.

I tested the wallet function. I sent 100 bbp to the newly generated unchained adress and it worked no problems. Then i sent back 50 bbp to my  desktop wallet adress and it was instant. felt smooth and all.   So i encountered no problems in the wallet function.

Continued to test the video upload feature. For me it "hanged up"  or how to say, it just went on and on to over 8000% .

The video file was 546mb and format mp4
Currently trying to reupload and see if it works.  I will test out the prayer and comment feature later on.

Have a good one.
