PODC setup
« on: March 06, 2020, 10:24:08 AM »
Hello everyone,

I am trying to setup PODC as per the instructions at https://wiki.biblepay.org/PODC_Setup

Yesterday I reached and completed successfully everything up to step 4.a in Part G, but now I am stuck at step 4.b when I am trying to execute the command:

Code: [Select]
exec associate WCG_USERNAME WCG_VERIFICATIONCODE true
(Obviously I have replaced WCG_USERNAME and WCG_VERIFICATIONCODE with the correct values). The message I get is as follows:

"Sorry, we found you as a researcher in WCG, but we were unable to locate you on the team.  You may still participate but the daily escrow requirements are higher for non BiblePay researchers. NOTE:  Your RAC must be > 256 if you are not on team biblepay.  Please navigate to web.biblepay.org, click PODC research, and type in your CPID in the search box.  If your rac < 256 please build up your RAC first, then re-associate.   (code -1)"

However, when I log into https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org I am in the BiblePay team. Any idea what could be going wrong?

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

This has to be done through the https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org site, right? I had activated "Display my data", but not "Link my devices". Did it, but still no luck. Do I have to wait for this option to take effect?

Thanks!

Yes,some times it can take a few blocks.If you did all in the list it should work.Try  exec cpk(your nickname) in debug.If you in the system it should say:

{
  "Command": "cpk",
  "Results": false,
  "Error": "Sorry, NickName is already taken."
}
You should also came up in leaderboard.

Just for anyone who will have the same issue in the future. The problem was that I didn't have at all BBP coins in my CPK address (although I had BBP coins in my wallet, but through another receiving address). I transfered some of these coins to my CPK address and things worked correctly after some time.

One last question. What happens if my wallet is not running for one or more days? Will I lose the PODC rewards of these days? Or will they be sent cumulatively to my wallet the next time the wallet sends the staking transaction or I issue the transaction manually (I think through "sendgscc wcg")?

wallet should be running 24/7 so it is available when the gsc transmission is scheduled to be sent out

I did also all the steps from the guide: https://wiki.biblepay.org/PODC_Setup
Getting "Sorry, we found you as a researcher in WCG, but we were unable to locate you on the team.  " error message when trying to run "exec associate" command.
Can you please help?

Each of these is only good for one day.  If you run "sendgscc wcg" manually, you have to do it every day.  The window that you can do it in to get a day's reward is fairly large, but I'm not actually sure when it begins or ends.  If you don't send it in time, you won't get that day's reward.  If you leave the wallet running continuously, it's taken care of automatically.

I have done all of this and currently am mining. However, when I type in    exec rac    in the console, it still tells me that I don't have a key.

I am also having all of the above issues. I sent the coins to my cpk address to begin with but nothing is happening. I followed all of the steps in the PODC guide and still get told I do not have a cpk even though I clearly do after linking it with my CPID. My RAC is over 743 but no staking. I guess I don't have enough in my wallet? Also, I'm not on the leaderboard either.

Is PODC mining still supported?
