Generated coins must mature 102 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours.

New Exchange Proposal - Add new Biblepay Exchange (SouthXchange.com FEE REIMBURSEMENT)

Approval of this Proposal will allow us to reimburse everyone who so generously loaned funds for the successful SouthXchange listing.

We received 305,000 BBP in donation/loans for the SouthXchange.com listing fee. I am requesting a BBP distribution of 307,500 BBP (which includes the 2,500 BBP Proposal Fee.)

Thank you!

zthomasz

Thank you for your work! Since I was one of the people who advanced the BBP, I vote in favor of this proposal  ;D

Archived Proposals / Proposal idea: airdrop
« on: March 01, 2018, 08:41:50 AM »
I'm just thinking out-loud here. But I've been participating in some airdrops lately at https://airdropalert.com/ and they also do something called 'hosted airdrops'.

This means you fill in a form at their website like this one for example: https://airdropalert.com/cms/join/taxi

We might ask people to join our twitter and fill in their Biblepay wallet adres (which means they must download our paper/mobile/pc wallet to get an adres, and thus become aware of that we stand for). We might have a max of 3000 participants or something, and give everyone - for example - 100 BBP, or maybe even a dollar worth to each participant. I think it would get our name out there and hopefully we can get some more committed users.

This is not a proposal for this round, but just an idea we could maybe talk about :)

394
I took a look at the logs on my two testnet nodes and dont see anything bad.  Other than a lot of unecessary logging, which I added switches for and removed (debugpodc=true).  And some Sanctuary mnpyaments logging was removed.

Can't find any other bugs... Lets hope we have some more volunteers help us asap.

Yes Jaap lets also not forget to verify your unbanked flag on my sanc later, let me know after you receive an unbanked payment.

Great! Let's indeed hope we can get some more volunteers up here. I will let you know if I receive an unbanked payment :)

395
Me too.

And that means what 616West originally said was correct on his part, sorry about that 616.

Since a few days I was running my android phone on a separate CPID to test the 'unbanked' function, but forgot to join the Biblepay-team. Oops  :o

I joined now, so we'll see how it goes.

About the implementation in March Rob: I'm all for intensive testing to make sure that no bugs escape us. Do you think it would be beneficial to get more people testing?

I've looked at your messages and also replied to a few of them. Thanks for taking the time to do this, nice work! In a way, I think it's a bummer that a great project like Biblepay needs this kind of 'shilling', but we need exposure to stand out from the 1000+ other alts out there to be able to grow.

397
Thanks members for the support . please keep dropping the inputs

I just read this article about crypto-adoptation in Africa:
https://unblock.net/bitcoin-adoption-soars-africa-wake-increasingly-volatile-fiat-currencies/

Not only that, but Christianity is big in Afrika, so I see big opportunities for us in Afrika, especially with CoDC coming up.
I'm happy that you found us Cryptoshot!

Could you maybe tell more about yourself? Maybe give us some verifiable information?

Archived Proposals / Re: BiblePay & CameroonONE
« on: February 28, 2018, 09:27:27 AM »
Now I see I forgot about this part of your post from more than a month ago, but this goes to show I was thinking the same thing. So what happened with this suggestion (and your concurrence)? :)

Yes, well. as far as I understand, the budget on the next superblock is going to be a chunk bigger in terms of BBP, since there was a bug with the superblock in terms of adjustment to inflation, so funding both CameroonONE and compassion on this superblock shouldn't be a problem.

I concurred at that time to start slow and steady. But when Rob suggested to start a bit bigger, I didn't see a reason why not. I've talked with Todd and CameroonONE seems about as competent as it gets. Also, with the new site coming up and PR starting soon it's great to have three well funded charities at our side (since BLOOM got about the same amount of BBP).

I do agree that something could be said about spreading the funding over a few superblocks, but if we do it this way, we can fund them for a whole year instantaneously and from there on focus our attention on paying the premiums for compassion and maybe take on a few more orphans at the time while doing that.

The value in BBP vs dollars is going to fluctuate of course. We have no idea how much BBP will be worth at the time of the next superblock, so the exact funding can only be certain after everything is converted to dollars.

If sanctuaries want to vote in favor of this proposal, they can use the following command:

Code: [Select]
gobject vote-many 6ca3cdfbbd557946cb776871308797406eb1a942bd866b67b4cc906c2bfa2bea funding yes
(you can check the validity in the pool of course).

If the 4000 dollars can't be collected with the requested BBP, I will add a new proposal the next round to meet the requirements to sponsor 14 children for a whole year and start our collaboration with CameroonONE in a big way!

Archived Proposals / Re: Biblepay Charity Commission and Sanctuaries
« on: February 27, 2018, 03:53:08 PM »
I like the idea of donating sanctuaries to charities. Not only does it make them active participants in the Biblepay community, but I guess it also makes sure that the sale of BBP on the market is more gradual, crashing the markets less (but I'm not really good at market economics, haha!).

On the other hand, before we do such a thing, we should be absolutely 100% sure we don't get scammed out of our sanctuaries, because once we donate one, it's up to the people that get it what they will do with it.

It's interesting that there could be a commission that handles the sanctuaries, or the charities themselves could get them. Both have pro's and con's.

Just to clarify, Jaap is going to receive the 1mil for this one and convert to BTC for Cameroon, or is someone else handling?
IE who converts this to $ for Cameroon, is Cameroon in $?

Also, is there a summary of what we will receive for 1 million bbp?  (IE child count, child area, ongoing monthly fees)?

Yeah, sorry. Todd has written me a fantastic mail three days ago that clarifies all the points you ask about and more. The BBP will indeed go to me and I'll convert it to BTC for CameroonONE.

I was waiting for Todd to post it himself on the forum here (also because I asked him to maybe add some minor points). I actually wrote him a mail today to ask him to post his story here asap for clarification purposes concerning the proposed budget. Todd is working abroad at the moment, and very busy, but I'm gonna give him another day to post here, otherwise I will take the liberty to post his story for him.

As far as testing the sanctuary rank feature, this is used by the SanctuaryQuorum to determine your sanctuaries place in being called into service to process and vote on the filtered magnitude files.

Only do this if you are a synced sanctuary with a position in "masternode winners" report.  If you are not in winners, this command will be useless as we only choose sancs who have a rank.

If you have a place in the payment queue type 'exec testranks'. The tail end of this command shows the sanc count, and it looks like we have a piddly 4.  Anyway this means you should see (since we need a minimum of 2 voting sancs in testnet, 10% in prod with a minimum of 5 in prod), an alternating 50% chance of being called to filter or vote on a file, for every Other block number (since 2 minimum divided by 4 is a 50-50 chance per block).  So now look at your heights starting with the current height and go forward in the future - IE right now we are on block 10005 so go from 10005 to say 10025, and just see the pattern, is it 0%, 100%, 0%, 100%,100%, etc.  If so our rank is working.

I am looking at my testranks report on my hot sanc and it appears this is working.  (The number is height,  percentage of being called, and Sanctuary Rank) in the report.

hi guys?

1. when ill update to new 195 linux testnet wallet, i lost all my tBBP?
2. why is my UTXOweight still 75 when i have 1.7M tBBP?
3. when i close my testnet-admin-linuxwallet and others rosetta machines will be continue= what happens

thx for answers

1. I haven't lost any tBBP after updating. Did you by accident remove your wallet.dat? Try a reindex maybe?
2. About the UTXOweight, see this post: http://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=108.msg1996#msg1996
3. I think that the current state of affairs is that you have to have your wallet online and mining to be able to receive rewards (except if you fall into the 'unbanked' category, which is when you mine ARM-only).

I think this is a great opportunity. I think beginning an outreach in Africa would be very beneficial, especially when PoDC is implemented and people can "mine" on their cellphones.
I hope this will be the first of many around the world.

I also think this is a nice idea, and a perfect market for Biblepay. But first we should indeed have PoCD implemented, but also our new site should be online. I also think something like a press-kit would be beneficial.

Alright, I've updated both my Linux and Windows wallet. And both have their own CPID associated (a general one and an unbanked one). Sanctuary is also running.

As far as testing these things:
 -  Allow unbanked to be compensated without PODC Updates
We need to ask Rastiks to not shut down the cell phone, and not add any non-ARM rac.

I've set up a separate account for my Android phone, to test the unbanked feature:

- Fixed prayers diaplay in overview page  (they were invisible)
Most tested - I can see exec testprayers shows the prayers and now they rotate on the overview page

I tried a prayer :) Seems to be working fine again.
