Acts 23 Bible Study Questions

Acts 23:6-10 What are some ways that Christianity is different from all other religions? How does the resurrection give hope even when facing dire circumstances?

Acts 23:15 Talk about a time when you have been treated wrongly. How have you responded? What kind of response pleases God? How does knowing God is in control enable us to respond rightly?

Acts 23:11 What are some of the promises that God gives to us that will encourage us in difficult times? Look these up and read them together. Which is most encouraging to you personally?

Acts 23:12-22 Talk about the difference between providence (protective care of God) and miracles. Which is God’s normal way of accomplishing His will? How does that give us confidence in difficulties?

Acts 23:23-35 Discuss the goodness of God. What does it mean to say that God is good? What are the evidences of His goodness? Can you see His goodness even in bad times?

Application:

Pray for strength to trust God in situations when you are wronged so that your witness might give glory to God
Pray for someone who needs to know Jesus as Savior
Thank the Lord for the peace and comfort that He has given to you.
Pray that you can rest in His control in the difficulties you face this week.
Pray that you might see and give thanks to God for His goodness and mercy that are everlasting.

This is a can of worms. Talk to your accountant and hope so/he understands crypto.

Donating BBP if you're going to file would be value at the date of transaction not value on a different date. You might use CMC historical rates and figure out your donations.

But since you're donating BBP and possibly earning bbp as well...  And since it is bbp to bbp is it really a taxable trade?

And then you're not the one selling to BTC and then to fiat... So who gets the deduction?

Filing taxes for crypto is already complicated but trying to declare for orphan foundation is likely something no accountant understands.

nobody will be guessing who intened what, if you want something, write it down to source code

btw i have enough coins to cover whole rac, but i dont have reason to use them all

Why you don't stake more BBP? Did you put BBP in sanctuaries (masternodes)?

The exploit is being addressed and dev has right in the meantime to put in workarounds. It doesn't have to source code change. It can be kicking people off the team, warning people by DM, etc.  This is normal software patching cycle.  There should be consequence like you not being able to participate for one month, so honest miners can recover what they lost from you. Or you give back what you took. From there, different talk can happen.

Regardless of if the system lets this behavior occur or not, it goes against what the system says it should do.  So ultimately, a user that was honorable would have said, "hey Rob, this is not working as you intended it to".

I think the real solution is for PoDC payments to work like this:

PoDCUpdate looks and sees what you need for stake given your RAC
PoDCUpdate does a transaction going for 110% of the necessary stake
The Transaction becomes locked
The next time PoDCUpdate runs, it checks if the locked transaction exceeds the minimum required for your RAC, if so, no new transaction, if not, it does a new transaction

When the Payment is triggered, it ensures that all transactions for stake are still locked (much like with a MN payout).

I think you technically only need 90% to get 100% reward (e.g. 20 BBP for 1 RAC). So, I think the ceiling could be 100% and you already have a 10% buffer.

I just sold some altcoins for LTC using free desktop product called Open Bazaar.  They let you accept various major crypto.

I don't know how you did the Walmart API thing for $15 Subway Gift Card, but having a way to buy products & services within wallet would be cool. You already have IPFS which is neat idea. Gift cards, but digital would be even better. No shipping fee. Since crypto is secure one-way, digital gift cards would be a no brainer. There's no risk to the seller and funds are guaranteed.

We have reports of people setting up tithe=1 (early adopters) and they are donated ~200BBP every 4 hours to Orphan Foundation.

Accessing the wiki and including a note about not using tithe=1 until go live date will be useful. I'm planning to send out the newsletter tonight.

wake up guys, you cant call cheater somebody who is using production wallet as is implemented with all its functions...

Nobody called anyone a cheater except me. If you have 10M RAC, you need 200M BBP for staking. If you only stake 10M BBP (10% required stake), do you think that is fair that you receive 100% reward when you are only supposed to get 10% reward?

Acts 21 Bible Study Questions
Acts 21:5 How important was prayer in the life of the early disciples?
Acts 21:1-6 and Hebrews 10:24-25. Why is it important to gather together with other believers? What indicates that Paul made this a priority even when he was traveling? What indicates that these believers really loved one another even though they disagreed?
Hebrews 10:24-25 English Standard Version (ESV)24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Acts 21:10-14: How did Paul respond to warnings about his personal safety?
Acts 21:7-11. What can we learn about prophecy in the New Testament? What is it? Is it the same as God’s Word? What must a prophecy be tested by?
Acts 21:12-16 and 1 Peter 4:9. What is hospitality? How can believers show hospitality to each other? Talk about some ways that you can show hospitality as a family.
1 Peter 4:9 English Standard Version (ESV)9 Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.
Acts 21:15-20 and Luke 15:1-24. What should be the response of believers anytime someone comes to faith?
Luke 15:1-24 English Standard Version (ESV)The Parable of the Lost Sheep
The Parable of the Lost Coin
The Parable of the Prodigal Son
Acts 21:22-40. Why was Paul willing to do as they asked? What should be some of our concerns when making decisions?
What was Paul’s greatest concern? What evidence do you see that Paul put the concerns of others before concerns about himself? How do hospitality and gathering together with other believers put the needs of others ahead of your own needs?

I noticed team RAC dropped from 14M to 4M. Next day, it jumped back up to 10M. I suspect the cheaters joined team BiblePay. What's the next step? It seems what I said would happen (they'll join team BiblePay) happened. Now that BBP team is required can  you kick the cheaters off Rosetta@Home and WCG?  Or will the mandatory in one week deal with it via the 0.5 day min coin age?

Is there something you need from me like access to allow you to edit or create new help docs?

Rob that's totally up to you.

I think you revoked access for everyone for fear of spam/defacing.

I'm preparing a newsletter for you to review and wanted to make sure the PoG documentation (since this is the biggest change in the last 90 days) is correct and up to date.

Whoops, :),  Sorry my friend, at least its going to a good cause.  So I guess that is the reason I didn't officially release it yet (I was trying to think if we thought of everything before announcing it officially LOL, and I guess we didnt).

Yes for now please keep tithe turned off by setting tithe=0 until we almost hit 100,000.

Let me take a look at this situation :).

I'm not seeing this behavior myself. I started with a brand new install and new wallet.dat

On a separate note, would you mind revisiting your wiki docs and see if anything needs to be updated?

I think these are the two relevant links? A lot has changed since Nov 2018.

I'm trying to see if PoG will reduce sell pressure on the exchanges or not?

So, with the upcoming PoG and the donated funds... the monthly superblock had BBP sent to a specific charity address if the proposal passed.

Are the funds donated to the Orphan Foundation via PoG going to Compassion like before?
So, the funds in the foundation will mean the monthly proposal will ask for less BBP because some exist in the Orphan Foundation?

many mined blocks are 111 tBBP but others are more in the 4k tBBP. Is there a limit being reached such as tithe coming in or daily payout amount?
