Kairos Children's Fund is a charity in the Philippines sponsoring children's education. Biblepay is supporting 10 of these children (since June, the opening of classes in the Philippines.) The money we receive goes to prepay for the next month.

I am requesting 750,000 BBP, which at the current rate will be enough to support these children for another month. The money will be used for their transportation, lunch, school fees, and uniform. The families will also be given a monthly 'rice allowance'.

Anything that is left over generally goes into our general fund, This can be used for various small things, not often admin fees (which is minimal since we have no salaried workers),

The monthly amount per child is $20 for elementary students or $22 for high school students. We have 5 elementary and 5 high school students at the moment, so the cost is $200 per month. You can see the details below or on the website.

Also, for more information, you may look at our previous proposals.

Thanks

I will vote 'yes' on this :) Just a question: 750 000 BBP is probably too much for just the sponsoring of the children. Instead of spending it on other stuff, maybe you could put in some 'reserve jar' for the children, just so they have a buffer if needed for school costs?

As a clarification, another reason that I am asking a slightly higher amount is so that any extra can be used as a buffer. mid-year school projects are due next month, so Kairos will be giving a little extra allowance for projects.

Just realized that the proposal I created in the qt wallet (without November in the title), which I thought was not working, is working. Please ignore my second proposal (the one that says "for November."

sunk818, late reply... our facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/kairoschildrensfund/ and website is https://kairoscf.wordpress.com. We have a website at https://kcf.winnegor.org (my own domain) but it doesn't have SSL and at this time we can't afford it.

Thanks for the update,  for SSL you can check into "lets encrypt" it's a free SSL certificate service.  (i'm using it for this forum)

Thank you thesnat21 for your help. It worked! Actually used a web tool called zerossl.com which helps get a certificate with Lets Encrypt. thanks again!
