pool

pool hasn't hit a block in 35 blocks, that normal?

Also how do you solo mine?

The hashrate overall is pretty small, so the law of large numbers and averages isn't in effect.  And sometimes the distribution is a little late.  To solo mine, your config file should have just generate=1 and setproclimit=<number between 1 and 99>

Thanks
So having conf. file exactly like this for example would solo?
Code: [Select]
gen=1
genproclimit=2

You think there are other pools other than ours or the rest of miners are solo?

That config would mine solo, but as you know, solo is all or nothing.  I've not run the numbers lately, but just GUESSING I'd say 300KhS would get you APPROXIMATELY one block in about five days.  So it's a long game.

Right now there is only one pool, the non-pool miners are mining solo.

The day we had a lot of problems in the pool, my vultr-64-4 proc reverted to solo mining and found two blocks :) LOL.

The pool: Blocks Mined (24 hour period):   39 (19%) not good.
solo miner or miners?:  (81%)
Move back to the pool, please? lol

I'm not sure that 19% is totally accurate.  Because it is based on the target of 205 blocks per day.  Whereas, and I've not run the numbers in a while, we're only hitting about 150-165 blocks a day.  So if you divided 39/165 you'd get a pool % of 23%, not a whole lot better but still worth noting.

The thing to consider is, lets say you're making 100 BBP /day in pool while we're at 20%.  If everyone moved back to the pool, the pool would hit 100%, but if you didn't increase your hashrate, you'd stay at 100 BBP/day because the pool pays on a proportional basis.  So if right now your doing 1/100th the work on the pool (and 1/500th of the work overall), if everyone was on pool, you'd still be doing 1/500th the work overalll, but now also 1/500th the work of the pool.

something else weird ...one of my miners that's always on pointed at the pool ,solo mined a block somehow with a 6944 reward ..

I just opened the wallet a minute ago to check on it and see the trx sitting in there waiting on conformations.

So a couple possibilities.  One, if you somehow lost a connect to the pool (pool down, bad routes, etc.) you revert to solo mining.  Second, if you don't have competitive mining turned on, then its possible with a high horsepower machine to run out of the problems to solve for the pool in which case I believe you'd revert to solo for the remainder of the block.

do you know what kind of pool payout is pool.biblepay.org and for purepool.org ?

the two most common I think are proportional and PPLNS.
