I am very pleased to announce that our 5 tube wells in Pakistan (from project https://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=766.msg10785#msg10785) are complete!  Now approximately up to 1000 children in 5 areas can have perpetual water for free!


We numbered them wells #14, 15, 16, 17, and 18!

General Support - Solved / MAC home PC biblepaycore Wallet - 3.5 Million BBP

Hi everyone--

This bounty is for an enhancement to the MAC OSX biblepaycore home wallet.

The github source for the program is here:

Note that we have RandomX as our mining algorithm, so we differ from bitcoin in that respect.

So for a long time we were able to build the MAC version with RandomX support, and release this finished build as a DMG file.
However recently we started running into some new troubles.  We can still Compile our code for mac, and run it without a problem, however, when we build our DMG, and the user runs this as an official DMG:  They can do most things like load the wallet, see the overview page in QT, and sync up to a certain block number.

We notarize the file and set up the DMG (as an apple developer) so that the DMG is approved by gatekeeper to run it (it runs as an authorized dmg file).

But the specific problem is when RandomX hash library is called for certain hashes, a memory access violation occurs in the MAC OS, and it bubbles up to the user and crashes the program.  (Specifics:  This crash did not occur until approx Feb 2021, after some apple updates to MAC OS that made it more strict!).

Our mac developer, MIP can provide more information on this - please ask us more questions.  When we run the DMG in jailbroken mode (with gatekeeper disabled), no crash occurs during any hashing and the whole wallet works.

So I believe his opinion is that MAC is protecting a certain area of memory.

Now the randomx virtual machine executes machine language specifically for the hash, so it needs unprotected access to a chunk of RAM.

MIP has tried setting the compile flags that make the librandomx.a file statically linked, and he set the flag to allow full access to the RAM but his particular flag did not work (I believe he is not completely sure if this option was passed in 100% correctly or if the dmg honors it or not). 

If we have an expert out there that would like to take this on we would appreciate it so that we can have our home MAC-OS wallet run without disabling gatekeeper!

I've hit the same issue. I had sent from the Xchange to the wallet app on my iOS. It has been a few days and the iPhone app wont even sync. and there is no support available on the app itself.

Question, cause this alludes to three different issues.  We have SouthXChange that I have no complaints in my inbox for at all, we have the MAC home PC wallet, which I have no syncing complaints for, and then we have the iOS Wallet - which I believe we fixed the syncing problem on a week ago when we added the DNS record.

Could you please give us more details - the exact problem, the txid, and what wallet you are using?

We have support available for the iOS also, but first I need more details.

I think this is important concept. As it's a bad image to come off as a TV evangelist trying sell a product using Gods Kingdom. This type of image will turn even Christians away. Much better if people join the mission then become aware of it's foundations (don't let the left hand know what right hand is doing kind of concept Matthew 6:3). This way if the mission is successful the Glory will be Gods thus inspiring new Christians on their journey and others to join in the journey.  As opposed to imparting the feeling they were scammed in Gods name if it comes to an end. Jesus's reputation if far more important than our projects.

How about INVI for a ticker symbol?

I'm not against the continual discussion of a rebranding (like DARKCOIN did transition to DASH at one time)... However realize while we are biblepay we can't change tickers or talk about changing "a little bit of biblepay here or there" we really have to stick with BBP + our entire brand for now, and just talk about all of the requirements that would be required and how that would benefit us.

Part of this however is the discussion that you bring up about Christian damage, as you are almost suggesting its blasphemous to have a coin related to Jesus Kingdom.  But I dont think I would be here in this position if that were the case - let me explain more --   I believe I was led to start this coin before the end times for a certain purpose - a purpose that I wasnt even aware of.  Ever since our prayer calls started 6 weeks ago Ive been praying more and more about this and I believe God is using us for much more than just some 'money transfer system'.

I believe God is going to have us create a new interface for Christians to reach decentralized content.  One that allows 'public opensource development efforts by teams' to create Christian Content Widgets that we host inside our core wallet for the world to consume.  So see this is not a blasphemous endeavor.  We would then still be branded as BIBLEPAY.  And our product would be a decentralized application that is visible on the phone that consumes feeds created by Christian developers that render as widgets for example.  This is just one thing God is revealing.

So Im still leaning towards staying as BBP and not 'corporatizing' the solution (IE caving) to a corporate friendly brand that just helps orphans you know; this sort of limits us (I know that is a tall statement because we are small to begin with) but as we go further into the end times I think it be clear that the world needs a Christian Crypto - right now those not in Christ consider us so tiny-- but I think this perception changes the further we get into the end times and people realize their soul is at stake, Christian themes become more critically useful, I think.

Again Im still open to discussing .

Hello All

I am new to Bible Pay. I am wondering what is the best way I can contribute to the project. There is a lot of reading to do and a lot to learn. I am hoping to work my way to running a Sanctuary any advice on the most efficient way to get there would be greatly appreciated. I have a few ideas for projects which after reading all the posts in the projects forum if they are not already in there I will post for feed back.

Remember, we are also listed on SouthXChange, Bololex (and to a limited degree Vindax, and Tokok).  On a side note, Tokok has not responded to our quarterly mandatory upgrade (they missed the mandatory upgrade in March.  Instead of creating a bad PR campaign against them,  I decided the Christian response is to appeal to God with the problem.  Lets pray to God for Tokoks blessings through a psalm, and pray for BiblePay to be delivered to higher ground, a blessing for both parties from this incident. )
