Support and Troubleshooting / Re: Purepool Support

I understand.  :)

Earlier you wrote : "You can also have different wallets for every pc, but then you need a working PoDC work for every one of them, with different CPIDs."

I'm not sure what mean by "... you need a working PoDC work for every one of them ..."

What is "a working PoDC work" ? Do you mean that I will need a separate Rosetta@Home account for each wallet that is BOINC-ing Rosetta, unless each wallet is sharing the same .dat file?

Also, if each wallet shares the same .dat file, does each wallet need to use the same receiving address/Worker ID?

Thanks!

Yes, I assigned the wallet to Rosetta on March 12 2018 and it's been successfully mining BOINC since then.

When I try to reassign it in "Add Me As A Distributed Computer Researcher" I get "ALREADY_IN_CHAIN."

My controller wallet shows a CPID, is staked, etc. This wallet doesn't show a CPID, plus it only has 10 BBP.

Edit: Just checked miner stats at:

this is new ..

Also, I registered this miner a few days ago but still no statistics ..
workerid=BQB34r5kvkfCpcEm7bEf4W9E2rfGewa7Jy/TASAcer

Here's the biblepay.conf file ...
addnode=node.biblepay-explorer.org
addnode=node.biblepay.org
addnode=biblepay.inspect.network
gen=1
genproclimit=1
pool=https://pool.purepool.org
workerid=BQB34r5kvkfCpcEm7bEf4W9E2rfGewa7Jy/TASAcer

I don't know if it makes a difference, but BOINC is running on the same machine.

Thanks in advance!

yes, I agree.

Im glad we are making the site even better!  Great job!

We have a complex system, so I think we require a little more than the average site, with active Orphanage partners, PODC, Mining guides, Blogs, Governance, etc, but we'll get there.

One concern I did have is the use of wordpress plugins.  Our host gave me a call and said we pegged the servers performance within 48 hours, so I upped the monthly service level to the "supreme" plan, but then the server ran out of memory.  We looked at the plugins briefly and the host seems to think some of these are chained together (IE one developer of one plugin doesn't know it affects the performance of another).  So maybe when we have some time, if we could try to eliminate all the plugins and go with native wordpress?  (Or move away from wordpress altogether).

Btw I know Im supposed to look at the test site and the roadmap, I will do that soon, the families taxes have interfered this week.

You're going to love the new site, it will be far more extensive than the current one. We'll give you a peek within the next couple of weeks. :)

The only plugins we use at biblepay.org now are BeaverBuilder and a basic back-up plugin. I've had several WordPress websites running smoothly on a single server for 3 or 4 years, they all use a variety of plugins with no issues. Please send me the Vultr diagnosis info and I'll look into it, hopefully it was just a bug in one of the plugins that we no longer use that came with the initial install package.

Thanks to everyone for approving my previous proposal for website improvements. I finished the makeover as planned, and since then have continued to work on the site, edit and add content, links and do some general maintenance.

Im also working with Jaap, April & Togo on a new site that will provide viewers easier access to resources tailored for individual needs. It is designed to enhance the web experience for both novice users and experienced cryptocurrency enthusiasts alike. Were excited about this new phase of our web strategy and anticipate completion within the next few weeks.

This proposal is an invoice for the hours Ive worked since completing my original proposal. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Time Log:

Current website: 23 hours
   Create new content
   Edit existing content/text
   Add links for various resources
   Manually update roadmap
   Create object to auto-update wallet version
   iFrame to auto-update Roadmap
   CSS for section alignment
   Add auto .png for wallet version updates

New Website: 9.5 hrs
   Setup a test WordPress website
   Install Avada Theme & Charity demo
   Design & Planning calls with web team
   Correspondence review
   Layout & wireframe drafts
   Images research, selection & edits
   Boilerplate submission review & editing

Total Hours: 32.5

1 BBP = $0.003147 (coinmarketcap.com April 16, 2018 1:00 PM CT)
Hourly Rate: $35.00 = 11,122 BBP

32.5 hours x 11,122 BBP = 361,465 BBP

The requested amount for this proposal is 361,465 BBP.

Thanks again!

Hi zthomasz,

you can use one receiving address for all miners. Important: If you want to use the same CPID, copy the wallet.dat to all maschines. But remember that this means that the wallet is available on all systems, so better have a cold-wallet with your not-stacked coins somewhere else :)
You can also have different wallets for every pc, but then you need a working PoDC work for every one of them, with different CPIDs.

"You can also have different wallets for every pc, but then you need a working PoDC work for every one of them, with different CPIDs."

So if I have 2 windows pcs in purepool ...
1) BOINC must be running on each machine
2) Each machine must have a separate CPID

Does #2 require multiple accounts for Rosetta@Home? Or can separate CPIDs be used in a single R@H account?

Hi everybody,

I started this Thread for all support questions related to Purepool, it will be linked in the pool.
Feel free to ask any question you have.

Greetings,
Lichtsucher

Thanks Lictsucher!

I would like to know the best way to configure multiple linux & windows miners for the pool. Should each one use their own receiving address, or is there a way to have all BBP sent to one main address?

Discussion and Suggestions / Re: New Website Improvements
« on: March 21, 2018, 01:47:12 pm »
Thanks for the suggestions Jaap!

Your mention that I "got sick" might have left some wondering about my health, so I'll clarify that it was in reference to my recent bout with the flu. The time off work put me behind schedule a bit, but our web team completed everything in the approved Website Proposal promptly and are now working on a few additional items.

- Since your post ...

- We changed the Bloom link to www.bloomworldwide.org/

- Added a favicon (created from the BiblePay logo). Depending on the browser you're using, you may have to empty your cache or delete history to the favicon in the tab.

- The dynamic Roadmap is an add-on and will be tweaked to show only the table at wiki.biblepay.org/Roadmap. It shouldn't have a scrollbar, at least on most browsers. Let me know which browser/version you're using.

- All slider images are intended to be full screen width, we will adjust the little boy image to full width.

Discussion and Suggestions / New Website Improvements
« on: March 16, 2018, 02:27:47 pm »
The new website at BiblePay.org now includes the improvements listed in the "makeover" that was proposed and approved last month.

First, the platform was moved to WordPress in order to lower the cost of future web development and reduce maintenance expense.

The site was then brightened up by replacing the old pictures with higher resolution images and enhancing the color scheme.

Much of the content was then edited and reformatted to be professionally friendly.

The website was also upgraded to be mobile responsive, making it easier for smart phone and tablet users to access all current and future BiblePay.org features and services.

New Exchange Proposal - Add new Biblepay Exchange (SouthXchange.com FEE REIMBURSEMENT)

Approval of this Proposal will allow us to reimburse everyone who so generously loaned funds for the successful SouthXchange listing.

We received 305,000 BBP in donation/loans for the SouthXchange.com listing fee. I am requesting a BBP distribution of 307,500 BBP (which includes the 2,500 BBP Proposal Fee.)

Thank you!

zthomasz

By now most folks are aware that as of Feb 1, 2018 BiblePay (BBP) is listed and trading live at SouthXChange. Accounts are easily setup and confirmed, deposits and withdrawals are working well, and the trading platform is easy to use.

fyi .. we have raised 305,000 BBP in donation/loans, plus $80 USD. The southXchange fee was 0.01 BTC, which I decided to temporarily pay out of pocket due to speed things up. Over the next few days I will likely sell enough to recover my BTC.

Reaching our goal to add another reliable exchange is a major milestone, and a great way to start off the month of February!

Yeah, sure :) Maybe not the best example, but the ethereum site has a bit of what I mean:
https://ethereum.org/

But looking at it again, I think I actually prefer the professional look of your sites, haha!

Yes, I prefer a steadier flow, yet with some fluid movement ... the ethereum site has too much motion for my tastes ... made me dizzy .. haha!

I think it's good to have a safer and more streamlined site :)

Do you have any design ideas? In my view, the site has all the information, but it's a little cluttered. Your examples seem professional btw, although I would like to see that the biblepay site has a bit more 'playful' feel. I don't really know how to explain it, dynamic menus and graphics that move a little when scrolling.

If you like, post a link to a website that has the type of "playful" aspects you're referring to and I'll check it out.
